i have a vector, it is good to me. i find it usefull even on off trail hikes and finding my way home from the bars when i've had too many lap dances. don't use the compass or the alarm, they are both booty. my keen alpine senses awaken me at the proper time without alarms

actually i did get some freshiez down there, just a trace. tioga pass is still open for bidness. i did arrive home last night to a dusting of freshiez at chez gapertimmy though, a plab ending to a trip to come home to freshiez. its feggin cold

twas a good time down in the sierra this past week. i'll have to write up a tr soon, but the short and skinny, i got to hike up the tuolumne canyon from the headwaters of hetch hetchy. saw more bears than people (saw no people in fact) it was simply amazing! granite is neat.

my bro said it was a middle aged man, in his 50's a hiker, apparetnly fell down a ravine. i haven't been able to find any news either.
