greetings sprayers- hopefully you are out in the hills on this beautiful day. Anyhow, whilst lil bitch sierra was recovering from her operation yesterday i spent some time overhauling the non-forum part of the site. i have installed a content system, similar to slashdot, that will allow y'alls to post news, articles, ramblings onto the site. you know, every once and a while, some folks out there contribute real gems of TR's , news stories, great area conditions and the like. all that good stuff belongs there. in the future i'm going to make it so you can post to that part, and start a thread in a forum at the same time, but that is a ways off. anyhow, go to cascadeclimbers.com, and check it out. you can log in using your normal name/password, but the login isn't unified (eg you have to log into there even if you are already logged into the message board). some old favorites have been added as well like the random image, and the fun little last 10 post lists with post icons ( i always liked that myself) Tim

its amazing, i swear that my dogs could get away with more nonsense than my kids could (if i had kids) something about dogs, specially big dumb ones like chinook... when they do something bad you just say "Awww, its just chinook, hes big and stupid" perhpas i find that ihave something in common with him or its the unconditional love thing, very odd.

for the sheer volume that DFA sprays, i must say he has to be an individual, a very disturbed one that is

today started out as a very mild day, but around 10am or so, the winds really kicked up. an older gent, around 65 yo, got "blown" off the skyliner express chair. i'm not sure how far he fell, but apparently he landed on some rocks (which leads me to believe it was closer to the wind blown top of the lift) nevertheless, airlife flew in and took him away, guess he had a huge gash on his face, scary stuff... who wever said lift serviced skiing wasn't extreme!

chinook and sierra are str8 ruffless. when they aren't doing the nasty, they can be quite menacing on the trails. really more so sierran than chinook cuz he's big and fat and gets tired after 1/2 mile. anyhow, i will not let them off leash unless i'm almost positive we wont run into anyone. so usually its out in the middle of the desert or on some old abandoned forest service road. having them off leash on designated trails is a real discourtesy to the other users of teh resource. unfortunately, not everyone loves my big dumb mutts as much as i do!

word townsend would make for a wonderful winter jaunt. i'd imagine there wouldn't be much snow to deal with, and the views are amazing. whats the lake just below there called again?
