    It's snowing!

Of course, it's the old "it isn't, but it is" gambit, eh? Bold move, Sitting Bird-Cat. depends on the definition of "is"

    hybrid cars

Oly, I have to agree with the TDI advice on this thread. My commute has always been long so I place a high importance on mileage with my car selection. I'm getting ready to buy a new car and it well definitely be diesel. The hybrid's mileage won't be significantly better than a TDI. The toyota dealer I called said you'd replace the battery about every 100,000 miles at a cost of $6,000 -$8,000. Doesn't seem like I'd save much over biodiesel.
  13. way back in the day i overheard the following conversation early one sunday morning between a girl of about 9 or 10 and her mom. little girl: "Mom, how come Suzy can't come to the barn on Sundays?" Mom: "Her family is Baptist. They go to church on Sundays" little girl: "I'm glad we're Equestrians so we can go to the barn on Sunday" I'm glad I'm anything but in church on Sunday
  14. thinking back, i think hell was the 600 sq ft, 2 bedroom appartment i shared with spouse, kid, 2 cats, 8 newborn puppies, and 4 large dogs--1 nursing bitch, 1 dump as post hyperactive 90# beast, 1 with an ear infection and 1 that was missing it's owner, in the winter of 1999 while waiting to close on our house. Then the cable went out.
  15. sweet! i always wanted to be a demon! i'll be the demon of random, undeserved deleting and banning i still want to know where my wrinkle cream is!!!!
  16. I believe that I'll contribute another TX locale for hell. Van Horn, TX. this little bit of hell is somewher in western TX. When you get to Van Horn, it's been at least a 100 miles since you've seen another car. when you leave the road is straigtht and flat for the next 100 miles complete with the reassuring sign "next services 93 miles". face it people, if you've chosen climbing as your passion in life, TX is just unacceptable. Why do you go there?

    Worst Haircut Ever?

ah yes, the 7th grade haircut.... it took years of therapy and expensive shampoo for me to recover from that butcher job. Unfortunately, this led only to the sorrow of 80's bangs followed only by the horror of the spiral perm gone bad. I had a bad hair decade.

Bull. Never have and never will. Luna--that's a fine choice. Somedays I am envious but all the costs of living in the city....financial and soul....don't make up for it(imo). Working in Bot-hell for the moment, i can say w/o reservation that there's no way I'd willingly live here.

Luna, this is a rare occasion where CBS was brief and correct. i flat out don't want to live in a city therefore because of my career, i'm never going to live closer than 45minutes commute to my job. then again, i live close enough to my playground that i can out and climb/ski/hike/ride just about any single day w/o a major hassle.
