  1. Yeah, I think so. Holden markets Opels (the Astra for instance) under their name. They also have a little SUV called the "Jackaroo" that looks suspiciously like a Chevy Tracker. I'd trade them all for a V8 Interceptor, and a cattle dog named "dogmeat" of course.
  2. Going to California, What Is and What Should Never Be, Good Times Bad Times Yeah, radio is not great, but KZOK and 99.9 are usually pretty good. The Metallica A-Z weekend was great. Even those pretentious rocker DJ's they have on 99.9 are clever at times.
  3. No, this guy's performance was definately not planned. He's just freakin' out and speaking in tongues and making noises between ryhmes. Neon Browne eh?
  4. Bad Company fucking rocks hard and there's no denying that. It is not geezer rock either. Quote from Dave "I'm hoping to replace High-Pitch Erik on the Howard Stern Show" Schuldt: Don't tell me you have a "penace"
  5. I'm in a coffee shop and this crazy guy is shouting out poetry and weird shit. Here's what he had to say: i’m looking for buddah it’s a girl the best of them are the funny farm- the funny farm and I’m all ‘hey man!’ ‘that’s my tongue!’ “how did it get in your mouth?” i don’t cry tears i cry other people’s tears. caster of the bones reader of the tea leaves the rats were obsessed w/ electricity and stealing it from the farmer Interesting, guy.
  6. Looks like you're the only one that's answered that poll FAD. So now that you have a new avatar pic do you know the body temperature of a dog?
  7. Check out these cars from Australia: This Holden "Rodeo" has a 2.8L Turbo Diesel. Great idea to put a fuel efficient low RPM high torque diesel in a pickup. I'd buy one if they were marketed in the states. If only Ford or Toyota would sell a compact Turbo Diesel pickup-use the diesel efficiency to get good mileage and decent power in a smaller truck. Makes sense for most offroad applications too. Check out the cool car that Ford sells to Aussies: a five litre V8 Falcon! Why don't we get these? I heard we might get them soon, that would really change the import street racing scene. Fast as fuck I'll bet.
  8. You hit the nail on the head. That's why I had to ask about quality before buying. Thanks for the replies, all the info was useful and will be taken into consideration when I come to the register. (I wish you guys would have responded as nicely to my shoulder shox query )
  9. El Gran Trono Blanco if I can find a partner... Cochise Stronghold anyone? Or it's "Hullo Yosamight!" Wyoming sometime too. BG-Tuolomne is probably great in August. When I was there (July?) it was a little more chilly at night and in the morning than Yosemite was, but was great during the day.
  10. So what if she only climbs to get "hot" guys, I only climb to get hot girls. What's wrong with that? If it wasn't for getting laid I'd never go climbing, and I guess I wouldn't have such a big stereo in ma ride either...
  11. $19.50 I shop at whatever place has the best prices and best selection. I find that REI often fits this bill. It's too bad because the place drives me nuts.
  12. I'm looking at getting a Mtn. Hardwear shell. It's called the Second Ascent Parka. As far as features it is what I need in a jacket. I am curious about the quality of Mtn. Hardwear products though? Are there horror stories or tales of hardship related to Mtn. Hardwear products? Are they champions of quality? Or are they middle of the road? Here's a link to the specific parka: http://www.rei.com/online/store/ProductDisplay?storeId=8000&catalogId=40000008000&productId=10885282&parent_category_rn=4501456
  13. You don't gotta gimme ma props, just gimme ma rocks...
  14. Yeah, I'm hooked on Squamish and Molson Canadien now. The fries and gravy have me drooling almost as much as the rock does though. On Sunday evening I saw a funny looking chap in a bright orange jacket leaving in a car that was parked in the Smoke Bluffs neighborhood-Dru was that you?
  15. The action on the shoulders is reduced by the "shox", eliminating a lot of problems we all experience when shuttling a heavy load. Check out this illustration: I think it's a really great idea. I'm thinking of buying just one. It would save money and weight and I could just swap shoulders when one got tired.
  16. Payton traded? The loss of Payton signals the loss of my final shred of interest in Seattle basketball. What kinda Kuckoo-Muthafucka would pass this shit up?
  17. Does anyone use these on their packs. They look like they might be great for long approaches and heavy loads.
  18. I'm working on an art project using old beat down gear. I had a post looking for pieces to use in it once before, but nothing came from it. Does anyone have an old piece or two that they aren't going to climb on anymore? It doesn't have to be functional or even whole, I don't plan on climbing on the stuff. I'd be willing to give a few bucks for a cool looking dead piece. Maybe more for a really beat up old cam...
  19. Hope you read this part well. I don't have any pictures to send right now, but I'll work on it. He would make a great plaything for a Boxer, your dog could toss it in the air, gnaw on it's ears and bat it around all day. When your dog isn't playing with the little nipper he could bark loudly at nothing, roll around on your bed and deficate on your climbing gear. He's good at these things and has a year of practice under his belt already. All in all, a fine specimen of the TerriPoo breed.
