Not as good as the others, but here's something anyway.

They were climbed already Kevin. _______________________________________________________ Kevin, thats an awesome illustration. When the guns to there heads and the pedal should be on the metal, some solid dudes hung on and went the extra mile.

LO will be warmer ....casual .....fun ....less crack whores.

sure Bill, I'll be there. _____________________________________________ Thanks for the visual JH!

I want to hear about the camry/climbing rope shenanigans at some point. Lake Oswego tonight?
-
Name dropper. But I suspect its a genuine question Kev, and not a troll. I don't think he's thinking of soloing Nameless either....but I've been wrong b4.
-
Dude, such a tease. Show up and name some names. Do the research, toss your $ into the ring, and let us know who you put $ into will ya. BTW, I don't give any hot stock tips any more, too many of them went south.
-
Use stainless steel bolts if you have to bolt. Big time etiquette breach to put in shit bolts, either poorly placed, not needed, or cheaped out and used Steel.

If it's a NEW route you are doing, and are truely the first person on it, and all of your ingenuity fails and you can't figure it out, and you can't toprope it to see wassup, then why not? However, be aware that for some out there, they would see unnecessary bolts, even for a FA solo, as a laughable lack of skill displayed in a very public way. In the West side of the NW there is almost always a tree within pissing distance. Smith is (relativly) climbed out but there would be plenty of partners you could grab if you had soething in mind and if it's a new area typically the cracks are still being done. So this is like a pure theoretical question which doesn't make sense.

No and No are the answers. Bet Wallstein could find pro at the base without using the haulbags. What routes are you thinking of? If nothing else, on a route where there is pro 12 feet up, climb up and use that for your anchor. Otherwise, hit the next line over like Dru said.

I'll take the bolting crap. I'll take all the big bros if thats the way its got to be and JH backs out cause he doesn't want them all.

Joe got it out and says that the church is hauling it away.
-
BTW - John just called and told me its raining. Looked out the window and sure as sh*t it's raining here too. I'm not far from LO, which means it's wet there. .........uhhhh.... sounds like scratching for tonight unless someone is jonesing.....maybe a trask trash haulout at RB or some gym climbing might be in order? maybe it clears in the next 45 min. ??
-
Scheimmei, you aren't there yet:-) Anyway, Joe needs a hand and a pickup truck if you can spare either. Help and a pickup truck needed
-
I just got a cell phone call from Joseph asking if someone could show up to the Butte with a pickup truck. He's trying to winch the washing machine and the engine block out to the top of Breakfast Cracks. Should be able to go to the dump no charge as these items are recycleable. PS, if you show and the stuff isn;'t on top yet, then walking it down and left out the trail to the base and out to Skidmore street might be easier (if there was 2 people). JH says that the church folks hauled it off. ! Yeeeeeaaaaa!

You don't have that book? Dan and I had ours months ago. It included the new granite lines out at Renton area and 3 totally new areas around town including the new 400 foot high cliff 30 min from town. It's amazing. BTW, I don't know why the directions I gave you earlier didn't work. You want to try it again? Drive to Newport, then south to Coos Bay and take a left, go 25 miles towards the Cascade Mountains, take a right , then a left, go straight for 20 min, then left, then right. You're there. No probs!

Sean, i thought thats why God invented Mapquest.

Oh man, I feel your pain and know that feeling. Good to see you must have got them done and are back to normal. Taxes are definatly the opposite of happiness.

OK, sorry to swith directions at the last min, but Ujohn called and said that Lake Oswego would be perfect: warm AND dry. DOHHHH, I hadn't even thought of it. Be safer too as wet as the Butte is right now. It's where I'd like to go, anyone else?
