Hank the Dog. He's the skinny one on the pic here. One time, I'm at the park with Hank (on a leash) and 2 unleashed Pit Bulls come over our way. Now, Hank was a used dog. His English isn't too good. An old man had owned him and then died. When the lap became cold Hank moved on to a rescue shelter where my wife found him. So, we don't really know him too well. Anyway, Hank decides this is a good time to get all aggro. I tried telling him, "Hank, I'm unarmed buddy, let it go" and "Hank, do you realize you only weigh 10 lbs?", but he wouldn't listen at all. As the 2 Pit Bulls came closer, Hank started posturing like a tough guy....like Trash up there does all the time, the Pit Bulls shocked both of us by exhibiting all kinds of submissive behavior. They layed down and rolled over on their backs and Hank "large and in charge" so to speak, stood over then with the full up and his tail in full alert mode till they all sorted it out and for some unknown reason decided Hank could be boss. Hanks a bite sized morsel for sure. Moral: it's a crazy world out there. This little one below doesn't like big dogs, although if they have a ball, like this German Shepard did, she considers that an invitation to grab it. Like in this instance. We were at the river and no one leashes a dog down there.

It's true that it is not a crowded route. The problem, son, is that many of us who truly love that kind of route - skinny long fun difficult and technical crack, got too old and fat to fire it clean, which is what we would prefer. However, we all agree that it is a truly "fucking awesome!" route, as you say! Come down as we all still give good belay, and you can fire P1 and p2, and we will follow you up it.

I'd say anyone who watches the Forest Service budget would be shocked how many NEW roads they bulldoze into areas. That's how it is. But we can still have this (non)debate for no apparent reason. Anyone need pictures of them with Bulldozers and graders on the sacred Mt Rainer? Pitons should be banned as well do you all not think, as they actually cause environmental destruction and permanent irreversable damage. Were Pins used on the other routes? Furthermore, as Ice axes can be utilized on rock, and thus cause destruction, then they should be bannezed as well. Right Don?

Literally starving to death in a land of plenty.....damn rough. I'll check it out Ivan but for now I'm still stuck hard-a-fast on the O'Brien Aubrey/Maturin books ya bastard. Great recommendation and reads though even if I was sucked in much like a turd into a whirlpool. I'm hooked and at about book 6.....of 20 something...so I hope to resurface next spring. The good news is that I've been watching a lot less TV! Speaking of readers, it was great reading to your kids. I didn't know how young your little guy was....grabbed my boys favorite book from when he was @ 5/6 (the 3 Billy's possums) and your sons eyes started looking around in boredom b4 we were 1/2 way through. Your daughter was still engaged. They liked the nightmare behind the door better. ps, I think I'd enjoy trail time with JB, he's smart, interesting and passionate, even when he's wrong....no disrespect meant there.

I think it depends which version you get. Eric Burton and the Animals had it boy but maybe Dylan had it as girl. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_House_of_the_Rising_Sun http://www.guitarchordsmagic.com/guitar-song-chords/house-of-the-rising-sun.html

Same as the other folks of course. It's all same-same, don't you read jbs posts? Jbs got it this way Obama = Bush. In fact, hard to argue with him as many of this Presidents policys and appointees are identical to the last one. Same as it ever was.

Oh, here we are. Daaaaa Beacon!

Most folks walking right up to it and leading it first time would call it 5.8. I've heard 5.9 too. I have not heard anyone doing it for the first time say anything less that that. Later, having sussed out the rests and the moves, the rating would drop more than most routes you have wired. Are we discussing it so that the guidebook can list it correctly?

Yeah, what he said. LINK PS, isn't this Jims favorite film?
