  1. Well, apparently neither looks OR an ability to reason are required for the presidency.
  2. Apparently most of you didn't read my reply that said I WAS KIDDING WITH THE REMARK ABOUT HER LOOKS. Jesus tits.

    Brilliance!!

Oklahoma Sen. James Inhofe, chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, calls global warming "the greatest hoax ever perpetuated on the American people." Good to know we have such brilliant scientific minds leading to charge in the Senate...
  4. HAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAH!! God you ARE paranoid! Oh, you mean like Timothy McVay!?
  5. I hardly thing any "liberal" will tell you that Islamofacism is not a threat. I think the difference is progressives dont see it as the ONLY threat. Sure, ridding the world of those fucks is probably the largest threat but that doesn't mean I am going to sit idly by while my future is further sold off to corporate power, christian dogma is pressed into our government and the environment is further degraded. We gotta take care of those bastards, but look out for our other other interests at the same time.
  6. Oh, and JayB, if you and bush cared so much about the women of Islam, you'd advocate cutting ties and pressuring Saudi Arabia more than any other country.
  7. JayB's sense of humor is smugly smiling when he words up another email with as many words as humanly possible. If it can be said with twenty, he'll push the envelope to at least fifty!
  8. I can just PP simling behind his monitor as he cuts, pastes and adds some fluff to yet another right wing blog blurb.

    What about GU?

You one of these sorry ass SUV-driving, greenlake-running, GU-slamming yuppies, Jay? You seem to be quite irked by Jim's comment.
  10. association is a funny thing...and people do it to different extents. Dru might be "canadian", and I might be "american" but, c'mon, seriously, i feel way more related to somebody like dru than your average texan, southerner, etc, who I hold nothing more in common than the title "american." Some people see things much more in terms of those titles and "us and them."

    140lbs??!!!!

Reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw once: "I may be fat, but you're ugly, and I can lose weight." That bumper sticker sums this right up: SEATTLE, WA - Surprising results for polling earlier this week indicate just how much a person's weight may indicate if they are perceived as "pretty" or "ugly". In studies conducted late in 1999 respondents were asked to compare two subjects and decided which was "less ugly than the other". Glassgowkiss(Subject A) was found marginally less ugly than the pre-subway-diet-jared-guy, by a margin of 58% to 42%. In the latest study the glasgowkiss was again compared, but this time to new-and-improved-subway-diet-jared. The main variable of change, of course, was Jared's impressive wegiht loss. In the new study, Jared mops up over 92% of the overall vote. His support crossed many demographic lines and, in fact, lost only two deliniated categories to glassgowkiss. The only demographic groups that preferred glassgowkiss to jared were Gay foreign war veterans and a small geographicaly distinct group near Ecumclaw, WA.
  12. I have a pair of the cheapish julbo colorados. I like them and they are reasonably priced at $50. I have personally never seen an oakley or smith pair of glasses that had lenses nearly dark enough for extended snow use, but I do think I have somewhat sensitive eyes.

    140lbs??!!!!

arch, check out the guy's web page. one look at his picture and it becomes clear where his hatred for everybody else comes from.
  14. At the risk of drifting this captivating thread, I have a question for JayB: how many times do you re-word each post in your head before arriving at the pinnacle - the use of as many words and latin phrases as possible?
  15. A said nothing of an opinion. Anybody is welcome to their own opinion, but anti-choice people take it a step further than an opinion - they believe they have the right to tell somebody else what to do in such a personal matter.
  16. "their bodies" is where the argument falls flat on its ass. there's more than one person involved Men seem to think that they are the other person involved. Wrong. BINGO. The assertion that men, politicians or not, should be involved in the decision is laughable. The females of our race have the responsibility of bringing children into this world, and with that responsibility comes a right to make the decision on when and how they do that. Josh, I am going to keep this post for ever and ever. Next time I post something shitty to you, remind me that I am being an asshole and that I need to reread this post.

  18. Exactly my point. YOU (and your like-minded friends) are the ones who support a party that has turned politics into a debate about abortion and their other ideological counterparts rather than a debate about issues that effect the common man. You, yourself, might not place much salience (sp?) on those particular issues but the fact remains that you put your support behind a party that has deliberately chosen that path to secure power.
  19. The Rebpulican party has done an amazing job turning politics into a ideological debate, particularly a debate about abortion and this "family values" bullshit they trumpet. The right can fool themselves all they want, but they hold the majority of the blame for turning our political system from one that can address real issues into one that polarizes people over this ideological bullshit they spout. I pray that sooner or later people will open their eyes to this and realize they've sacrificed their own well being, not to mention the well being of this nation, by voting in people whos aim is to push their ideology on the rest of us. WAKE UP AMERICA, please.
  20. Spoken like a true angry liberal, Josh. WTF does your comment have to do with anything? Even more telling is that your fellow 'open minded' folk here haven't bothered to call you on it. Are you truly dumb enough to think I was in any way serious? Notice the smily for context.
  21. Ironic because he is the definition of a simple person who can be manipulated. What a sorry ass puppet Bush is.
  22. She is reeeaaalllly ugly. I am surprised nobody has pointed this out yet.
  23. Yeah, seriously Alex, good point. Also, the flight jacket is sweet, no matter what you think. I managed to keep it dry for 5 days and it is a lot lighter than your equivilent jacket. FF shit rocks, but it is more expensive than "mainstream" brands.
  24. Maybe I am reading wrong, but it seems Kaska and I agree. I don't really see anything in her resume that puts her in any sort of "qualified" category for a supreme court position. Furthermore, the fact that she is a "supporter" of the current administration is pretty whack. I'd like judges to at least *seem* non-political.
  25. "An outspoken supporter of the Bush administration, she was a leader of its search for potential candidates to fill Supreme Court posts. A White House official said that at the same time, Bush considered her as a nominee without her knowledge." Ahh, yes, a complete supporter of his administration! Just the free-thinking independent open mind I expect from a supreme court justice!
