I can definitely see that too, which is why I'm torn on the whole issue. On one hand I want Iraq fixed up and us out of there ASAP. On the other hand, I want the situation to turn into a quagmire so the idiotic voting public has an excuse to get this jackass out of office.

Yeah, that's fucked up. It's hard enough to tell the straight girls from the bi girls from the trendo-chic-lesbo girls without this extra-confusing language to mess things up further! Well, in that case, adventuregal, for the record, windsurfing guys are a bunch of pansy ass wankers. climber guys is where it's at.

He's in Africa, last I heard, doing something about AIDS. What a guy! I hope that ruins whats left of your credibility (as if you ever had any) You're kidding, right Bronco? He's in Africa attempting to appear sympathetic to the african cause in order to boost some sort of african american support for his upcoming re-election bid. If you're niave enough to believe he is there because he gives a shit about global policy for african nations (or even understands it) I've got some oceanfront land in arizona I'd love to show you. Here are a couple of pieces you can read: http://www.mg.co.za/Content/l3.asp?ao=16660 http://www.sundaytimes.co.za/2003/07/06/insight/in09.asp Many more can be found by searching the loevely interweb. I warn you, however, you may see things different than how the republican national convention newslater paints them.

Personally, I've never thought Whistler's snow was all that great. It is typical PNW ,but it can be damn fun anyway. Whistler is just cool cause there is so much to do there. It's funny how all the tourons here who diss on local snow go to whistler for their vacations. someplace in the canuck rockies might be fun. decent skiing + ice climbing, and it seemed like a lot of cool towns existed there to me.

That's wild! Got to say though, pilots love that sort of thing. They totally live for the adrenaline. An old girlfriend of mine's father was a pilot. He had tons of stories like that. He once told me the following story... A U.S. pilot was taxiing in Dresden airport. He taxied to the wrong gate, and the controller got all pissy, and asked him if he'd ever been to this airport before. The pilot replied, "I was here in 1944, but I didn't land." Not sure if it's true, but definitely funny. an X-GF of mine is training to be a commerical airline pilot. She was a great piece of ass. I'm not sure if the two are related??

I *could* see from baker/shuksan all the way down to the stevens pass area, until they moved me from the 5th floor, facing north east, to the 1st floor, facing a fucking concrete wall and a tree. Major suck

I recall reading the other week that B'ham is in the top 10 of retirement cities in the U.S. Can't remember where I read that... Hmm...maybe I should reconsider then. Seriously tho, the last thing we need is retired people in bellingham. They should all go to phoenix and florida, since those places are already shitholes. Meanwhile, leave bellingham full of college chicks and climbers.

If I could afford to have multiple houses my ski villa sure as hell wouldn't be in Bend, OR.

Ours in the sense that I live here and feel the effects of the administration's policies just as much as any other person in this country (moreso in that I'm a foreigner and am subject to additional scrutiny). And unfortunately for the rest of the world, *they* also feel the effects of the current deuche bag we have in office.

Hehe...well, ok, your loss I suppose. I got to get some work done, but I'll check back later and hopefully be able to entertain you some more.

Damn. Great stories. The worst I ever had was when an old 727 blew out it's tire upon landing in portland. It was pretty exciting with lots of ladies screaming and whatnot.

I would like it to be as versitile as possible. When used with a normal climbing rope, I think using it as a pull line would be easiest since rapping with two ropes of vastly different sizes can be akward. I would also like to use it for single rope raps where i wouldn't have a climbing rope with me...such as soloing where I know rapping will be much easier than downclimbing.

With a rappel device.. Seriously, whatcha mean?, must be missing something.

I know this has been covered before. I don't care, cause I can't find it. I'm gonna buy some cord for an alpine haul/rap line. Trying to decide between 6mm, 7mm, or 8mm. 6mm seems scary, I can't imagine rapping on that. 8mm seems nearly as thick as a normal rope, so maybe too heavy, thus I was thinking 7mm. Any body have any advice?
