  1. Bill ran out of arguments a long time ago but he still can push strawmen, ad-hominems, etc..
  2. which topic is at hand? how stopping police raids on potheads means that we have to delay retirement for public employees?
  3. Awww shucks, more hyperbole for Hugh: Abortion Docs Decry "Wanted" Posters as Bait Providers in North Carolina Worry They are Being Marked for Murder by Operation Save America They look like wanted posters from the Wild West. But they're not photos of criminals, CBS News correspondent Michelle Miller reports -- they depict doctors in North Carolina who perform abortions. They asked us to block their faces. "It doesn't say 'Wanted Dead or Alive' but the implications are clearly there," said a doctor, who, fearing for his life, asked to remain anonymous. "I am always looking over my shoulder," the doctor said. "I know they know my car. They know my face. They've been to my house. They've put these posters in my neighborhood. So yeah, I look over my shoulder." Those responsible for the fliers, Operation Save America, repeatedly protest abortions at women's health clinics in the Charlotte area. Claiming the doctors "harm women and kill babies," they list specific addresses and urge people to contact doctors there. One poster even cites a home address. "These 'Wanted' posters are a call for my murder," a doctor said. In the 1990s similar fliers were distributed in other cities. Then came the murders. Pensacola, Fla., doctor David Gunn and Dr. George Patterson of Alabama were shot and killed in 1993. Dr. John Britton was murdered a year later in Florida. All were targets on Wanted posters. Dr. George Tiller survived an assassination attempt in Wichita in 1993. He was killed in his church last year. Click to learn more about jackboot
  4. Plenty of paperwork to process. Or they can wax the floors at the station, wash the patrol cars, sit in a chair and dispatch the younger folks, investigate crime scenes, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc. right, let's have joe do the paperwork. 30 years on a motorcycle should have prepped him just great for that task. or perhaps he could mop the floor. LOL Did it strike you that instead of delaying retirement for cops, all taxing jobs should have early retirement? I'd like to see you being a commercial fisherman at 64.
  5. I don't do hyperbole or are you telling me that the spawn of McCarthysm and the JBirch society, the constant race and red-baiting, voter suppression shenanigans, judicial coups, social darwinism, etc.. isn't jackbooted?
  6. Right, lie about the health of social security and the cause of budget shortfall to divide and conquer (old versus young), and claim the weed will taste sweeter. Youth should be well advised that pushing back retirement age is NOT going to have a positive effect on their employment prospect. If neoliberals have their way we are looking at chronic high unemployment especially among youth for a long time. Beware of snake oil.
  7. So you are planning on having 64 y.o. cops patrolling the streets?
  8. License tabs and mandatory rescue insurance for climbers. Mountains aren't "infrastructure". And in any event, we are forced to register and pay a fee these days, no? Roads, parking lots, toilets, camping sites, and land management administration aren't infrastructure? Do you expect climbers on Denali to bring the bodies down by themselves? So which is it? are you for user fees or not? you can't have it both ways no matter how much you try to weasel out of giving a straight answer.
  9. License tabs and mandatory rescue insurance for climbers. That has been pointed out to 'them' before. Usually they ignore the point like everything else that isn't on Fox.
  10. guess who came to defend FW who thinks user group fees should be levied?
  11. Nope, not true. There are other black employees at NPR. It's just Bill regurgitating right wing talking points. btw, Williams had been warned several times by NPR about his diatribes on the race baiting network (Fox).

    one laptop per child

The liar again needs to see that list of red states getting way more federal dollars than they contribute to the union.
  13. you, picking up the bill? how much is your area paying in taxes per dollar of subsidy? aren't welfare queens like you sufficiently subsidized by people from the big city?
  14. do I also have to guess what your twisted mind think what is my premise?
  15. more like hating on cyclists is classic mouthbreather rhetoric
  16. reading comprehension isn't your forte. You should stick to spelling.
  17. That's why I am reminding you of it, jackass.
  18. He likely thinks it's ok for homeowners to pay for sidewalks or for you to also pay for his wars needed to sustain his oil addiction.
  19. and they'll claim that Fox's race-baiting doesn't work!

  23. So cruel. He might indeed go postal.
  24. "Carpenter launched from the summit down the Southwest Couloir and turned to fly over the South Arete to the SR-20 hairpin. His 7-cell glider failed to clear the arete and he bounced and skidded down the vertical Southeast Face. The glider caught on a dead tree on the face. Carpenter was uninjured. An East Buttress climbing party (including Tim Wilson) lent their ropes to Twight, who lowered them to Carpenter, enabling him to escape from the face. Source: Jonathan Carpenter." We were starting the hike back to the car when we saw it happen. Terrifying to say the least.
