  3. sounds like a cheap and enjoyable time in the mountains I wonder what the t-line parking lot attendants think of you showing up with a helicopter. They're so laid back I could see them waving you in to park
  4. helicopter gunships. oh hummus? not hamas?
  5. charming imagery
  6. also tell them to not charge $50 for a fricken metal pole
  7. rob are you questioning the authority on eastern europe? how dare you.
  8. ugh I remember some disgusting hikes near yellowstone that were tick fests. Firsrt they make you paranoid, and then you start spiraling down the drain to insanity looking for them. Every itch brings on new terror.
  9. how many dvds are left? are they soiled? usually I have to make do with the ragged magazines out at rocky butte. such high rollers out in the gorge!
  10. Dear me, it was agonizing to watch those poor souls postholing in the slop, meandering down to treeline to meet their inevitable fate on the trail of misery, the scent of 2-cycle wafting through the pines ever closer and stronger. Oh the horror, oh the humanity. (read to the soundtrack of lawrence of arabia, or similar)
  11. cue up another "pocket abacus" in math class tale
  12. be sure he includes Oregon's classic ski descents on Mt. St. Helens
  13. are you kidding? I would die if I had to boot down helens, esp. after doing hood. that long walk out in the trees would be MISERABLE! don't fall asleep behind the wheel
  14. they're not THAT bad, I've used both clipfix and STS and have not had this unbuckling issue with either. I too have used the standard skins and I agree with erik that they are pretty trustworthy, though if there is a lot of pollen in the air or on the ground the second attachment is nice. Also it is nice to have something to grab and rip at when I want to take my skins on and off w/o taking skis off with mitts on. yes I am really that lazy. clipfix works fine, just size 'em tight. the sts is better at adjusting to skin stretch. The clipfix works better when you want to jam your skis into the snow vertically to secure them. whatever, they all work just fine.
  15. wow that's terrible! please don't post any pictures.
  16. wow, that takes some guts
  17. as far as I know the Denali does not accept dynafit (at least mine don't). Perhaps this is new? The Lazer always has.
