I am planning on doing the ride up to T-line on the weekend of Nov. 1st or 2nd. Either day works for me. I plan on heading out from my front door on NE 15th at the crack of dawn. I will take the spring water trail out to hwy 26 then up. If anyone wants to meet me somewhere on the way up or start at my place with me let me know. This all depends on the weather. I don't really want to do the ride in the rain.

I still have these damn shoes. These are top notch shoes made by young children in a third world country who make .95 cents a day in unsafe work conditions. Please take them off my hands.

You guys are aware that I could go down on MLK and get fare market value for these shoes.

I have a pair brand new Nike Air's size 10 that have never been worn. Got them for some work I did for someone at Nike. I believe they are $100 to 130.00 shoes. I cannot stand the way these shoes look. Make an offer or they go in the garbage.

I did not think of Mt. Biking it. The only problem I really don't want to ride my Full suspension bike 110 miles. Thats all I got other than my road bike.

Hell ya I am serious about this trip. I am currently planning to ride up to Timberline to get an idea on how long it will take. Any takers.

Need input for planning a trip up to Mt Hood. I plan to ride up to Timberline lodge from NE Portland pulling a B.O.B trailer with my AT ski and climbing gear in it. I'm going to do this pretty early in the year (April, May) before the burgshrunde opens up. The plan is to ride up climb to the summit ski down and ride home. What I am not sure of is what time to leave Portland. I don't really want to ride Hwy 26 in the dark and I don't want to climb to early in the night. From my house it is about 55 miles to timberline lodge. This may be wishful thinking but, if I can average 8 to 10 mph it would take 5 1/2 to 7 hours on the bike part. Has anyone ridden to timberline lodge and how long did it take? I also don't want to do this by myself. The climb an the ski down would be a breeze, I'm more worried about

Still looking for some more people. Let me know if anyone is interested.

This kind of crap pisses me off. Don't you think if, and that is a big if, the airlines, Boeing, Port Authority, and WTC have any responcibility the people going into the building have some responcibility. If the defendents in the lawsuit should have known that this would happen shouldn't the people going to work in the WTC have known.

A friend and I are planning a trip to Stuart and are taking our significant others along. They are non climbers and would not normally partake in a trip like this. So we are planning on hiking in to the South side and staying 3 to 4 days. Him and I plan on leaving the ladies in camp and climbing in the area. My question is do you know of any place we can camp in and around the Mt. Stuart area?

Do you guys have any suggestions for skiing this late in the summer or is everything sun cupped and melted out. Any place in Oregon and Washington would work.

I have a Mchale and an Osprey ether 42. Both of these packs I would recomend. I use the Mcale for multi day trips and the Osprey for skiing. I would suggest going to a shop and trying on what they have. With a lot of packs today you can't really go wrong if it fits you.

One more thing I think my next purchase will be with Nunatak just in spite of your post.

I think your post on CC.com was chicken shit. If I were planning a trip like yours I would have put a little more thought into it and had gear ready several weeks prior to leaving. I have talked to Nunatak before and from the sound of it I don't think he purposefully screwed you over. Sounds like another shit happens story. Chalk it up as experience and go on with your life but don't try and hurt someone else because of your misfortunes.

I might be heading up to the Sunrise area to do some skiing next weekend.

Anyone been up to ski Snow Dome yet? What are the conditions like?

I am looking for info on the Bailey Traverse. Personal experience, guide books or what ever else you have.

Has anyone done Dog, Ruckel, and Defiance in a day? What order did you do it in? And how long did it take you? I thought about doing this last Summer but did not get around to it. The order I would do it in would probably be Ruckel, Defiance, and then Dog.

I have a pair of Atomic TM EX's with Silveretta 555's and Garmont G-ride boots. I was looking at the Freeride bindings for this set-up but found out when I did a little research there has been a lot more warranty claims on the Freerides verses the Silveretta's. I really like these skis. They seem to be somewhat stiffer than some of the other AT skis out there.

Has anyone tried the Mountain Hard ware Tempest SL Jacket?

Just got a pair of Garmont G-ride boots and was wondering what crampons if any people have had good luck with.
