  1. I've got the Courmayeur and think they're great. Lined with an integrated powder cuff, on the coldest days, I'll put longjohns on , but they do a great job on either full alpine conditions or a day a chair assisted turns.
  2. I recently poked a very small hole in the back leg of my scholler climbing pants with my crampon. Is there anyway to patch this hole to keep it fom getting any bigger and ruining the pants?
  3. Ooooooh, I wasn't getting all the flash, it just kept showing the same picture over and over and over and over
  4. kinda cool, I can't figure out how you attach the clip to your glove though?? I'll bet you could retro those onto other tools by drilling into the back of the shaft and inserting a nut-zert or maybe even a heli-coil.
  5. Hey, I think I see a titanium screw up there.... prolly back down by the road by now.
  6. That booty rocks! Heal up quick Pete
  7. Nice job Mike and Marcus! that Shark Attack looks f-ing awesome
  8. I heard the true story tonight, apparently, Layton was fighting for the last fish stick, Pete had the upper hand, so Mike retaliated by pushing him down the stairs.
  9. Yeah, I'm probably gonna drink some beers...might even get my wife to come too.
  10. Soooo Bill, are you gonna be there tonight?
  11. Did you get a pass at skibowl or Hood? I picked up one of the $199 off peak passes, I figure it'll be a good deal if it ever starts snowing up there again. Looks like I might be joining in on some beer cause it's currently raining up there
  12. Gaaaa! I'd like to, but I'm gonna try and hit the mountain for some night skiing tomorrow. Mel, this is the first time I've read your sig, you should have heard me in Utah!
  13. anybody take any pictures?
  14. I have a pair of size 12 Koflach arctis expeditions, definitely used, but still plenty of life. Send a pm if your interested. I'll be in Fairbanks next week, but can send you pictures when I get back.
  15. With conditions being what they were we opted to top out on the West Ridge. Only saw two other groups on the mtn all day, both were coming down through the pearly gates. In the registry, one group said they were headed for the Reid headwall, but we never saw their tracks.
  16. Funguy and I headed up yesterday morning to see if we could take a run at the Reid Headwall, we left t-line at 5:30 The weather was really mild, I mean really mild, it was a lot like spring with temps never droping below 40* with a light wind. Once the sun came up we got a look at I-rock needless to say, it's looking pretty bare. After heading over the saddle, we found the snow to be mostly knee deep powder on top of a hard surface of ice, but the snow was fairly consolidated with little to snow sloffing. The gullies and upper mountain are pretty bare, a lot less snow than I would have thought for this time of year. We found the ice in the first gully to be very brittle, but climable on the right side. The second step was a little thin with a big trough running down the center, again climable on the right side. After that the hard parts are over. The mountain needs more snow, but if you want a good day, go get it now, but start early.
  17. sweet, hell of a way to spend a day!
  18. Couloir, did you summit or just ski?
  19. I'm going to try and show, are we PC-ing it afterwards?....maybe a cooler on someones tailgate??

  22. Scenic photo on north side of Mt. Hood First visit to SW Utah and Snow Canyon - climbing
  23. Just curious were you might be DT-ing at Broughton's? I guess I can understand DT-ing out at the Butte considering the location you've been doing it in, just seems to me that unless you guys's were wondering waaaaaay to the far end of the cliff system there might be some opposition to DT-ing out there. I don't know, maybe that's were you where planned to go anyway, like I said, just curious.
  24. I recently recieved the following information from one of the local guide companies about Crawdad Canyon that I thought I'd pass along. "Crawdad canyon is closed to the general public from sept to march. It is open to members of the Southern Utah Climbers Coalition and their chaperoned guests. Members have access to the park via a key check out at the outdoor outlet and hurst stores. You can join the coalition (30.00 annual membership) at either the outdoor outlet, or hurst. This gets you access to the park, a reduced entrance fee, as well as access to updated local route info and news via the SUCC website. www.succ.org "
