TLG, use a stick clip when aid climbing, cause that's what it'll be.

Echinacea (sp?) and Airborne (from Trader Joe's), bro. Con some skank into bringing you some chicken soup. Fire one of your whiney employees, that'll lift your spirits. Hope you get better.

Stop teasing him, TLG. We all know you're not going to give it up to the Trasker; it's bordering on cruel the way you taunt him.

Plus the trail to Asgaard is a scree fest; trail from Snow Lake is better. cool, i am just thinking of hiking the loop (colchuck to snow creek pk lot)soon. Are you doing it in a single push from trailhead to trailhead? I have been thinking of doing this; PM me if you're interested.

Please enlighten me with quotes of what I am missing or shut the fuck up. Oh, and while you're at it explain why soft rock holds cams better than granite. Cool. Anyone have directions/address? Boy, that was easy. Why do those egotistical, strongarming Seattle-ites have a hard time figuring out where to drink?

quote: Originally posted by DLunkman: The only type of rock that would make me less woried about cams now is softer rock!!! The "soft" rock you speak of, could it be sandstone? Tell me, DLunkhead, do cams hold better in sandstone? Does sandstone have more, or less, friction? You are displaying your ignorance; better stick to scrambling with Karen. Greg W

DPunkman - Let's keep it civil, dickweed. On an important note, marriage has not changed me; I can only abuse Allison for so long then it begins to bore me. Regarding the broken cams, by my read the cams were damaged due to pulling out. Whereas I have not climbed a lot of basalt, I do know that it is smoother than granite; also, others have posted regarding the irregularity of these cracks. Granite has a high friction surface, and maybe provides better cam placements. If we follow your implied advice we wouldn't trust ANY cam placements and should climb nothing where we might fall. Keep living in fear and never leave the ground. I'll keep climbing and trust my abilities to place gear on granite. Greg W
