Muffy, re-read a few posts above. It's not just women. It's not just women. It's not just women. It's not just women. If you think that the Doctor finds all the uber-cheesy cyber-groping perpetrated by the gutter-bound horndogs on this bbs any less yuck than that perpetrated by the femmes, you're mistaken. It lends the site a decidedly truckstop feel, in the worst possible way. Sounds like you're just jealous no one is hitting on you. hahaha, Byotch!!

Why don't you quit leaving stuff in your Jeep, Ms. Genius? Shut up, DFA. Minxy, just stay up late one night with a pellet gun. That'll discourage them.
-
Could be. hehehe It would take me a while to get to where you are.
-
Cut that hair of yours and you could make your own!!!

rr666 - you might touch base with Mattp. He's talked with Chris at C&S and might have tried one out or at least inspected the workmanship.

Your loss on both counts, my brother by another mother...

So I'm hiking through a waterfall yesterday thinking. You know, everyone from this website that I climb with invariably asks me if I know Trask. "Who is Trask?" "Do you know Trask?" "Is Trask really a convict?" "Does Trask really have a tattoo of Judy Garland on his neck?" Look, I don't know, but a parallel appeared to me as I hiked along. As you may or may not know, I'm a huge fan of Objectivist Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged; this book opened my eyes to many things. Anyway, I began to see a parallel here: Ayn Rand's characters are always asking "Who is John Galt?" Nobody seems to know who he is, but they know he moves among them. He's a mystery, a ghost, but also a real person who would wisk away the brightest minds to 'Galt's Gulch' to revive America. Could it be that Trask is OUR John Galt? Will Trask appear to each of us, when we are ready, and offer us the opportunity to join 'Trask's Gulch' and reshape America? Will Trask address us all on the radio and give a too-fucking-long speech that will explain what is wrong with America and what can be done to correct it? Is it starting on cc.com? Is the re-claiming of American greatness starting here with our 'John Galt', Trask? Discuss...

Top roped soloing - what's your favorite device?
Greg_W replied to Terminal_Gravity's topic in Climber's Board
I've TR soloed with a Petzl Expedition clipped between my harness and a webbing chest harness. It works pretty well and I don't do anything way out of my league. Downside is there's no redundancy unless I add a prusik, but that would foul the smooth feeding of the ascender. -
Sisu - how does that compare to the shot-size standards that most manufacturers go by? Isn't buckshot pretty sizeable?

politics, politics, politics. Sheesh!! Let's get back to talking about alcohol.

To Filter or Not to Filter? That is the question.
Greg_W replied to tomcat's topic in Climber's Board
Whenever I carried a filter, I always carried tablets as a backup. Just in case. Then I realized I could just use the tablets and save the weight. -

Potable Aqua with the neutralizer tablets. Fuck filters, they're extra weight and can break. -
Cool, Dave. You actually pissed someone off. I'd be proud if someone sent me such hatefilled mail.

I thought that was a creamy thing blended??? maybe I am thinking a frozen golden cadalac???? I have no idea, I was just trying to sound worldly by spewing out the only "brandy" named drink I've heard of. By the way, good job on starting this kick ass thread, Muffy. Certain parties may be planning a tasting shindig; drop me or thinker a pm if interested.

Certainly, heat destroys wine/port. Think, man, they keep them in cellars. If I tasted a bad bottle of something I thought should taste good I'd take it back.
-
Right on, Mattp. Let me work on something.
-
I'm more worried about what type of warehouse environment those cases sit it. Moreso in the summer, I guess. Nothing like sitting in 100-F heat to really work on a fine wine or port.
-
Mattp could handle any DUI work or noise complaints pro bono.
-
15 out of 20. I need a taste test to be sure.
-
Call me a cheap bastard (go ahead, I dare you), but Costco has several fine ports in their selection. The only thing I would worry about is how long they've been on display and what temperatures they've been subjected to.
-
Well done, thinker. Very interesting and contrary to what I've learned, albeit on my own.
-
I've found brandy or port warms the body, whereas vodka and tequila just burn.
-
Is that different than a Brandy Alexander?
-
Thinker - Yes. Especially if you have experience writing grant requests. Maybe we could get this whole thing funded!!! Oh, for those who don't like Brandy, try a nice port. Fonseca Bin No. 27 is nice. I've heard that Warre's Warrior port is good, too.
