I agree with Trask that it's bullshit that we aren't holding the Saudi's feet to the fire. What happened to GW's pledge that if you are not with us you are against us? Scrawny is descriptive of build, not height. How is it that they can arbitrarily deny access to an area if certain individuals are willing to hump the extra miles to get in there? This is such bullshit. Hey seriously, what do people think about this angle? Those in Washington DC will not see it as you describe; all they will see is that their constituents are voluntarily consenting to more governmental control and higher taxes. These are the only things they care about, because it is what keeps them in power, which is what they want. Government is the WORST thing to put your faith and money into.

Well-stated, Trask. I would state that tactical nukes should be a last resort prior to troop landings. As in, try everything conventionally available in bombs and missiles to soften things up. If there are targets that are too deep or too elusive to get with conventionals, go tactical nuke (case in point, deep bunkers). Make a desert of glass and Trask and I get the novelty concession: "Get your actual piece of Iraqi desert, $5." We'll make a mint!!
