  1. yeah, but you are sidestepping the issue. people drinve here more than anyplace in the world, and that is because of a lack of pub. trans., which is because so many people drive which is because of a lack of public trans. make driving costly and provide alternatives and you will fix many ploblems we have. think this way ratboy: if you could ride a bus to work everyday, you could have your SUV for the mountains only and would only have to use it when conditions dictate or when you are making a special trip. just a thought.
  2. Oh, great, Scotty's tripping again..... its true damnit! even 3rd world cities have this shit. double the gas tax... or better yet... tripple it!!! it will solve a lot of problems ranging from health care, to budget constraints to traffic.
  3. fucking light rail! how can there be so many hippies in this town and no light rail!?! everyone has one but us! WTF? double the fucking gas tax and put that shit in!
  4. fucking hippies. have you looked at the amount of pollutants that come out of running a lawn mower for an hour? how about comming out of those old ass subarus that you are all carting around?

  11. URBAN LEGEND! I beg your pardon... I saw that on the histoy of sex on the learning channle or discovery or some such yer wrong. middle english word fukenn meaning to srike or penetrate quickly. came from german.
  12. This seems to be the most relevant stat I see. Economic growth on paper doesn't mean jack to the people still out of work. While economists will point out that 5.6% is really not that high (some even place the natural rate around 5%) the fact that it's been much lower for a decade or more will influence the perception of the man in the street. Yeah, but if the unemployment rate is lower than the natural rate, the economy is unstable. Doctorb, STFU. I doubt there is any rational person who will agree with everything ANY party does. Believing that Bush is the devil is as moronic as beliving that he's god. Don't be an idiot. holy shit.
  13. whudduvit!
  14. so go somewhere where you are not reaping the beneifits of this lifestyle and match your actions with your words. if you want socialism, support it. dont just talk a bunch of shit on some B.B.S. Your words mean jack-all if you dont have the huevos to use your life to support the principles you blab on and on about. Why are you still paying taxes and supporting a government that betrays your ideals? Doesn't make two shits for sense.
  15. "World Socialist Website"?? Why are you hangin' out at a site like that? Are you a fuckin' commie, Alpinfox? Maybe you and DoktorB-patch-adams should go to your own chatroom and share ideas that you can impose on the rest of us. I remembered reading a NYT article about another US military fuckup and did a google search for "us airstrike children" and that is the article that came up. However, yes, I am somewhat of a socialist. Thanks for asking. ya don't say!

  22. yeah sure thing. there was one traverse that i was kinda sketched on by myself as it was 55* or so of mediocre snow. i think the trail goes on the ridge, but it was corniced and wasn't terribly stable. Lemme know when you wanna go. I love that area. You can get away from the city quick.
  23. me and a buddy did greyhound thing from vancouver to mexico for $70 round trip. you have to travel with a partner tho.
  24. yeah, but you'd better be packing. especially if you start in Everett. I have done it in Canada. Don't get caught and don't get shot. i only went to Alberta, but be-fucking-careful.
