Many of the things they say are ludicrous. Some there say that the U.S. Government sponsored 9-11. but it is indeed good to get both sides of the story. Bring up the cuban missile crisis and you will get a much more likely sounding story from them than the garbage they feed us in school.

It has to do (i think) with the biblical connotations (as the armenians are not only an ethnic group but a religious on based in russian orthodox faith) as well as the role it played in the painter's early life and perhaps also the general mystique about ararat given it is a banned zone and the converging point of so many hostile countries. also interesting is the juxtaposition of the religious aspects of ararat and the desacration by the smuggling (of gas and drugs). dunno though. brilliant film maker for sure.

...for the first time since i was a little boy. egoyan's ararat was amazingly intense. the protrayal of the armenian genocide watched with my armenian best friend was a bit too much for comfort. for all of you who are not aware of the various atrocities committed in turkey, ukraine or (in modern times) the congo, check out this adam egoyan film.

Sure, a sprinkling of capitalized words can add spice to an attack, but overuse is like too much tarragon in the stew. whatever. the only people that are effected are those that dont have an electronically readable passport. if you dont have the proper identification, you can get fingerprinted, get the passport or stay out.

well. if you are comming in on visa and you dont have a passport that is machine readable it only makes sense that you are gonna at least get fingerprinted.
