Should Rush Limbaugh continue as KGMI's flagship broadcast prgram? Rush said on Friday, 10/10, that his continuing use of "prescription pain medication" (which he purchased ILLEGALLY WITHOUT A PRESCRIPTION) was due to lingering neck pain See http://www.cnn.com/2003/SHOWBIZ/10/10/rush.limbaugh/ But, just a few short months ago in an interview about his golf game, he stated "there was nothing wrong with him" See http://www.asapsports.com/golf/2003celebrity/071703RL.html (response to second question) His noted rapid hearing loss was likely the result of this addiction. See http://www.suntimes.com/output/entertainment/cst-nws-rush11.html. This hearing loss began in 2000. See http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A3408-2003Oct9.html So, Rush has been in the grip of a significant addiction for at least three years (in his on-air admission he said "the past several years"). What has he said about people who break the law and do drugs (like he has)? "And so if people are violating the law by doing drugs, they ought to be accused and they ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up [to prison]." See http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/10/13/politics/main577682.shtml I recommend a campaign to remove Rush Limbaugh's broadcast program from local radio programming (KGMI). After all, he admitted on Friday that he was "no role model." Why should we risk exposing our *GASP!* children to the on-air rantings of a criminal drug addict? If Brett Booner (still KGMI's programming director) cares about kids, surely he will understand! Please contact KGMI at kgmi@kgmi.com or go to their webpage at http://www.kgmi.com/default.asp and let our only "local" commercial station know how you feel. PS: As for anyone, addiction is a tragedy, Rush's no less. It is Rush's hypocrisy that needs condemnation, and it is to that end I think his credibility to be America's self appointed "truth detector" should be challenged.

Found this on a MT bike site. A couple of interesting legislations that were introduced so far in October in the House include: HR3283 "To improve recreational facilities and visitor opportunities on Federal recreational lands by reinvesting receipts from fair and consistent recreational fees and passes, and for other purposes. " An attempt to pass a legislation for nation-wide fee system for all federal recreational sites including national parks, national recreation areas, national conservation areas and national forests. The bill also proposes to repeal and replace regional "Fee Demonstration Programs" such as NW Forest Pass... finally. HR3247 Trail Responsibility and Accountability for Improving our Lands Act (TRAIL Act) "To provide consistent enforcement authority to the Bureau of Land Management, the National Park Service, the United States Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Forest Service to respond to violations of regulations regarding the management, use, and protection of public lands under the jurisdiction of these agencies, to clarify the purposes for which collected fines may be used, and for other purposes." HR3247 seeks to set single set of rules and authority for all federal land management agencies as to enforcement against "recreational abuses" of fedrally managed lands. If you "unwillfully" damages the fedral land, you'll be guilty of Class B Misdemeanor and can be fined up to $5,000. If you "willfully" damages the federal land, you'll be quilty of Class A Misdemeanor and can be fined up to $100,000. The bill, unlike another attempt earlier in the year that specifically targeted OHV users, penalizes any and all recreational users, so technically hikers, or MTBers, can be found guilty of misdemeanor if they are found to have caused damage. What's really interesting is the introduction of this bill by Rep. Tancredo (R-CO) and see in the picture what kind of "damage" he is talking about fining... http://www.house.gov/burton/RSC/word/Tancredo10603.pdf I wonder if the picture would have been used so sensationalistically if the trail had mud bog with hiking boots imprints all over instead of tire tracks...

Do you have a name for this dude? Google search (1st 3 pages) shows no match. Did you make this shit up or did he? Can anyone else verify Jgowans paranoia or is it time for him to seek help. So what else are the voises telling you? If these guys are real I can 'cause I don't have a credit card! The level of debt people have blows me away. A former housemate took out a five year loan for 10 grand to buy a used car. I wonder what the total intrest was, nevermind the fact she had to inshure the damm thing.
