I will be writing a letter to Alpintal to see exactly what the policy is. I will say something about how much I enjoy skiing at Alpintal and the Nordic Center, however, I will think twice about spending any more money there.

Just sent a letter, kept it short, simple and polite.

Spread the word. What's next Crystal, Stevens........ The backcountry users will just be forced elswhere where it takes longer to get in and rescue them. I'll bet that more snowshoers will head up Comonwelth basin, lots of serious avey terain up there......

Areas will be crowded as hell. Any day works for me, location depends on conditions and how long you want to be out there.

Across the road from Stevens Pass area. There is also lots of easy stuff around Windy Pass. Windy Pass is on the MT Catherne loop. Park at the Snoqualmie nordic center. Don't pay, it's comon access to the pass. From the pass head up the clear cut towards Silver Peak or take the blue dimond trail over Nordic Pass. You can do runs through the woods from Nordic Pass to the warming hut.
