You go up the SB road almost to the big turn under the rocky slope. You then have to find a way across the creek and head up to the lake. Then head for the top along the right hand side of the lake and then up the slope to your right. You hit the ridge and it's a safe cruse to the top. We never made it, the snow was waist deep in places. We watched some natural slides on the other side of the lake.
There's a safe way up off the Smith Brook Road but it needs enough snow to fill in the trees. I would be stoked to check out another route depending on avi conditions. Saturday would be best 'cause that's when the big game is.
Sat - WTA trail work at Grand Ridge near Isssaquah cut short by rain and wind. (MTBers, this trail is open to bikes.)
Sun - XC skiing at Hyak. Just after grooming ski patrol came by on a snowmo and hosed it. We gave them shit.
Asension, one set is 5 or six yo. Cut for skies w/ side cut, would work best if you cut them down for narower skies. $40 OBO
Other set 10? yo edges are hosed, trim them down for old school tele skies or XC skies. $25 OBO
No tail hooks.
For folks 6'-2" +/- tall. Treck Comes w/ fenders, rear rack, water bottle cages, new pedals w/ toe clips and mirror. Frame is about 8 years old. Wheels about 1 year old. Good tires and recent tune up. Live in Fremont. $250
I've done Earl. Navaho Peak would make a good ski. Usualy a place to go in the spring. Some good touring over there. The big ? is how far can you drive. Global warming sucks, buy a mountain bike. Went for a very wet ride yesterday.
Head up the Smith Brook road just east of Stevens Pass. When you get to an exposed hair pin turn head up left through the woods. Some good tree skiing can be found near Union Gap. If there's enough snow you can ski Lictenburg from that side, there's a safe way to the sumit.
