  1. Dude, easy, I'm not asking for a million bucks here, just a fair price on a good piece of equipment. I'll give it some more time and if I don't get any good bites I'll lower the price. That's sort of how things tend to work in the for sale world. If you're still interested and have some time between your speaking engagements for the rest of everyone else, maybe you'll want to buy it. take care
  2. I'm not pressed for time so I'm going to hold out for more money and I'll email you if I get hard up. Seriously, the thing is in great shape, $45 is below pro deal.
  3. BETAMID FOR SALE...GREAT CONDITION...ORIGINAL TENT BAG INCLUDED. I have a Black Diamond Betamid for sale, here's the link in case you haven't seen a million of them already: http://www.bdel.com/gear/betamid.php This is the standard Betamid, not the lightweight version. This one weighs 2 lbs. There was a tear about 1/4" from the zipper catching the fabric, I seamsealed it and it's good as new. The tent has been used mostly in the snow so it's in great condition. I've probably used it 10-12 times. I want to sew my own and customize it a little more so don't need this one although it's been a great tent! I love it on the glaciers in the summer, super lightweight, yet good shelter, and if the skies are clear you can just sleep on top of it on the snow. New it would cost $100 I'm asking $60 email with questions: jarredjackman@hotmail.com
  4. I'll sell it to your outright if you can pay $60 shipping included.
  5. got the PM and replied. Didn't get the email. jarredjackman@hotmail.com do you want it, it's on ebay now and being bid up, if you want it better speak within the next few days.
  6. not sure, I'm 6'4" and it fits fine. The cubic inch measurement matches what I think the medium is on the GoLite website. Not totally sure though, so can't promise you anything. It would fit a huge range of people so unless HUGE or tiny, it will fit you fine.
  7. This is really easier than it is appearing. I have a orange BD shovel blade, it's pretty big and moves a lot of snow. I drilled a bunch of holes in the blade to lighten it up, then I jam my ice axe in the handle hole and the adze end jams against the back of the blade, works like a charm. Don't stab yourself. It does everything but dig throw ice, but most shovels don't attack ice too well. When done digging, just slam the shovel on the ground point first and the axe pops out. Been working great for 3 years now. By my GoLite backpack and you'll be really light!
  8. GoLite GUST, Red, $60+a little S/H(depends on your location.) I have a red GoLite Gust pack, weighs 1 lb 4oz and measures 3600 cubic inches (+1000 if loaded to the top). It has a foam back pad (removeable), foam padded shoulder straps, and unpadded wastebelt, gear loops too. This is a great pack, I just have too many packs and haven't used this one. Check it out at: http://www.golitestore.com/store/NS_proddetail.asp?number=PA5002 The pack is well built, stitched heavily in the right areas that get a lot of pull. Has a couple tool loops, one exterior pocket, big main compartment..blah blah blah. It's a lightweight pack for summitting the cascade mountains or shorter AK trips, things like that. Through hiking, although maybe a little large for that, but folds down nicely to seem smaller when desired.
  9. You should approach Metolius with this, they're usually pretty good with this sort of request.
  10. Damn did I mention I'm a serial killer? Nobody out there wants to get away and into the sunny land of trad routes for a week? come on!
  11. Anyone want to head down for a week in late April early May. I'm in Sun Valley area of Idaho and could meet someone down by Twin Falls and carpool from there. I want to do trad routes, lots of them! I can lead 5.10 trad and probably a little harder down there, ratings seem a little soft. let me know Jarred
  12. Nobody needs a helmet? I'm going to have to ebay the thing!
  13. This is a great condition BD Halfdome. One size fits all, white, never been hit by a falling object, just scratched at the crags. The thing never fit quite right, so I'm selling it. I've had it for a year. Retails for $60+ Sale for $30 shipping included!
  14. Do you know exactly what the specific pieces are? I would need th Yakima code numbers so I know whether it will fit. Thanks a lot. take care
  15. Mike Thanks, I don't expect a play by play of the route. I know it changes on a dime. I was mostly wondering about the late season set up and if that would still be the case, as you mentioned. I thought we might not have gotten enough snow, which might push Sept into June, which might mean that in Sept I might just find a lot of rocky crap! I imagine that route doesn't hold a lot of excess topical snow though so maybe a low snow year doesn't matter as much for those steeper routes, maybe they're just icefests in the late summer no matter what. This is good as I would like to do it later rather than sooner. Thanks for the post. Hope life in Longmire is still good. Jarred
  16. Does anyone have an image of this area that is recent? Or Mike, have you been over there. I have been thinking about this face for awhile and want to combine the lower portion of the Icefall route, with the upper portion of the Mowich Face route. Although I really want to do this route (combination rather) I don't want to do it in crappy conditions. If anybody has decent route info I would appreciate it. Thanks Jarred PS, I would just go check it out, but I live in Idaho now and don't want to drive 12 hours for a face that isn't in decent shape.
  17. Where do you live? I haven't been recently, but I live in the Sun Valley area and some of my buddies up here said that it was really muddy, and I think there's still probably some snow in the shady areas. Call down there and talk to Brad, the climbing ranger. Jarred
  18. Done, you can indeed get the cash if you wait 'til summer, thanks for the tip!
  19. Any thoughts on the Mowich Face routes (icefall and north route). If I were wanting them to be nicely setup (better frontpointing, drier rock) would you say this would be a good time, or later season as many seasons seem to be, or does this year just not look as good for these routes? thanks to anybody with info Jarred
  20. You're supposed to make the offer. Let me know what they're worth to you and I'll see if that sits well, or if I want to hold onto them. thanks
  21. Come on, so many views and no bites, these pants are your alpine dream attire. I could be persuaded to make someone a killer deal. Come on, come on, come on!
  22. I have a REI dividend, but I really want a whitewater sprayskirt that they don't offer. I'll trade you the dividend ($166) for $166 cash, and when you use the dividend, you'll get the 20% off any item that they offer with dividend purchases. COME ON, HELP ME GET A SKIRT! thanks Jarred
  23. Size XS, color khaki. These pants are LIKE NEW, they just don't fit my girlfriend. I think they retail for $128. Make me an offer, we want to sell them, but don't want to give them away. thanks Jarred
  24. I live about an hour from the Perch. If you want to call me up when you are planning to come out feel free. I plan on going up there a bunch this summer as I just moved out last fall and haven't climbed it yet. All the info you'll need is available at the Elephant's Perch gear shop in Ketchum. Jarred
