  1. Yes, the Know-Nothing wing and the Do-Nothing wing are getting together for some big ideas next time around! Hmmm, much better than the I'll-do-anything-I-want autocrat that you elected. Exactly where does he get this new power to change acts of Congress like the ACA at will? Hillary Clinton, now there's a real go-getter. You guys would do better with Elizabeth Warren. Which isn't saying much.
  2. Christie in 2016!
  3. Uh, yea, well that bubble was not one of the choices. And after this dem-o-crat debacle it won't be for a long, long time.
  4. CBS News Update. Looks like I'm not alone--or even holding any sort of minority point of view: (except here, of course. ) Turning Obamacare into a "political win" will be an uphill climb at this point: a CBS News poll conducted in mid-November showed that just 31 percent of Americans approved of the law, while 61 percent disapproved. Approval of the law had reached its lowest point yet recorded in CBS News polls and had dropped 12 points in just one month. The poll showed that fewer Americans view Mr. Obama as honest and trustworthy and fewer Americans approved of congressional Democrats' job performance. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/can-democrats-rehabilitate-obamacare/
  5. Mine really has too. I now believe that our health outcomes should be equal no matter what. Even if we've worked very very hard, done well in school, saved and invested wisely, and we've exercised every day really hard and avoided foods that make us get chubby and poop on the meadows like TTK and vices that blacken our lungs we are all in this together. So I should be happy to pay for someone else to pay nothing to actually be more equal than me and put off fixing my house because this is what is best because the simple people like Rob told me that this is what is the most fairest of all.
  6. In many places they already do. Although I'm not sure why you would want someone to sell you sewage.
  7. Looks like chubby dog found a hole in the fence--or someone left the gate open. Yes, this 420 count thread is now in an unrecoverable death spiral.
  8. What can I say? Hanging from shiny metal hooks while eating donuts and smoking cigarettes just aint my thing. Of course, some folks enjoy leading up the aforementioned shiny metal hook ladder more than others too. But that not be you from what I gather.
  9. Nevermind the people there aren't free to express a political opinion in public--or participate in a real election. No nosotros nessesitamos librertad. Tenamos libre assistencia medica!
  10. Give em what they want vs Prole knows best. No doubt we'll all be eating at Michelle Obama's salad bar in your new world.
  11. Hard to discern what, exactly, you're trying to say enamored as you are with your own prose. Some stuff is hard for some people. No truer words were ever uttered. Ironically, the Evil Future Health Care Resource Sucking Big Man's tribal unit Big Man sucking Evil Healthcare Resources tribal unit boasts one the most productive home farm and gardens this prosetologist's ever seen. Both front and back yard are positively lousy with chickens, kale, and all other manner of horticultural nicotine cleansing agents. Really, one shouldn't worry too much about the Big Man - his job in life is to suffer so that the rest of us may be free. His campfire in the cave will be a good memory for sure. Some of his Hood trips too. But he'll regret the smokes during his mucho expensivo treatments and his final months of bed rest for sure. This story I've seen with my own eyes--and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Not even you, Doughnut Guy.

  13. None. And neither, it turns out, does Obamacare. Smokers pay a lot more.
  14. Dogooders: trans fats today, smokes tomorrow. (Oops, I almost forgot; there's that whole tax revenue/uncollected social security/complicity model of government standing in the way of cigarette bannination.)
  15. You think? maybe it's because in your mind there are only two options for people with stage IV lung cancer and both involve letting them die? I think you're doing it wrong Reading comprehension, Rob. Try to focus. How much should your bureaucrats spend to keep Ivan alive? And remember, this was a lifestyle choice--and getting Ivan to his 80th b-day isn't gonna be cheap! What a weird world you've invented in which healthcare is withheld if the illness is "their fault" -- is it lonely over there? It's not my invention--it's yours. Good intentions gone bad. Seems to be a common theme with you lefties.
  16. Sorry, I reserve those for serious questions! Naw, you just don't want to answer it because you know your view has a serious flaw that you can't navigate. Democrats: simple solutions for simple minds. You think? maybe it's because in your mind there are only two options for people with stage IV lung cancer and both involve letting them die? 18. We should do what Bahrain does and feed him to the sharks, that's why their life expectancy is so high. Duh! Try to follow along How about a serious answer?
  19. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. (and healthcare and food and shelter and transportation and employment and...)
  20. You're worried about homelessness? Good God, man, there are people out there with substandard health insurance!
  21. So, let's say your big gooey dream of single payer is finally realized here in Amerika. How much should this fictitious society spend to squeeze an extra year of life out of, say, a 78 year old guy like Ivan who has chain smoked all his life and now has stage 4 lung cancer? $250,000? $4 million? No limit? Sorry, but this is not tenable. And at the end of the day, is having a government bureaucrat make the final decision on Ivan's fate any less horrifying to you than letting the soulless invisible hand of the market make the same choice?
  22. For God's sake, haven't you been watching Storage Wars?
  23. Depends on who you define as poor. I'll bet that American poor are every bit the consumers of "frivolous bullshit" as any. Think WalMart.
  24. Jay, don't bother them with facts while they're trying to steer the bus down the road to serfdom.
