  1. I'll second "Brazil".
  2. I zink u mizzed za point, ya?
  3. ...and who killed the conservative "Dr. Laura"?
  4. OH REALLY, Scrambler?.... I think the folks who died in this aspirin factory believe otherwise.
  5. Wow! Sounds like a good, easily accessible rep! Wow! How 'bout you post your psychologist credentials for us all to see. ....Last time I checked, "Wyoming's values" were solidly in the "R" column. (Both Senators, and one rep. anyhow...) Maybe what you were really talking about were "your" values? ...And your inability to include "balance" as one of said values?
  6. ....You answered your own question there, chucK. "Anti-bushies preaching to the choir". What's the point in arguing with a lock-step, hysterical group like so many of you here? Maybe we should just let the chips fall where they may, say, in November next year? ...Ah, but then many of the left-fringe here have utter contempt for the electorate at large, and would simply explain away a second Bush term in their usual pompus, arrogant, self-absorbed way. I will say this: I don't like GWB as much as I dislike the Democrat(ic?) alternatives.
  7. This statement belies your complete and utter lack of understanding re the complexity of this issue. Putin had the guy arrested not because he was a corrupt oil baron, but because he was becoming a political threat. His action will likely now throw the struggling RF economy into even deeper chaos. Putin, who I have admired until recently (and for the most part still do), is taking Russia down a dangerous road. Dangerous for us too.
  8. Hey! That leaves my right hand free.....
  9. Our Australian Shepard loves those things too. They must be laced with cocaine, or sheep endtrails, hooves, or something really good.
  10. Don't get me wrong here Fairweather. I would love to see more campsites and fewer hotel rooms and $60/night tent cabins. I just don't think tearing down an 100 year old building that is in the historic registry is the right way to gt them. Also, I hate the Sierra Club, but the educational programs they run out of the monument are just about Yos history, John Muir and that sort of stuff from what I know. I don't think they use it as a way to get new members. If he has a problem with the Sierra Club just yank their privaleges for building use, don't demolish it. Agreed. Boot The Sierra Club, and save the building. Sometimes politicians (on all sides) will put forth extreme legislation to make a point or to establish a radical stand from which the inevitable compromise will be more to their liking.
  11. Would you deny these groups the freedom to pool their resources and support their common interests? Do you honestly think those on the other side of this issue haven't taken $$ from a comparable list of sponsors?
  12. Oh.
  13. What's that got to do with the thread?
  14. If the guy is hired to do a job, he'd better do it. A bad break for sure, but is it his employer's responsibility to accommodate this guy's personal priorities when they collide with their own goals? Things you risk losing when you climb: Fingers Toes limbs Equipment Wife/Girlfriend Life Job
  15. Personally, I hope the bar-code tatoo goes on my forearm and not the back of my neck.
  16. You got somethin' against punk rock, fucko? Go sit on a plunger handle and stick your ass to the ceiling 'til you get some blood flowing to your atrophied brain, you fucking humorless flag-waving sheeptool. Your inability to function without relying on swinging from Adamson's nutz labels you indelibly as the ineffectual has-been wanker that you are. In short, fuck off. Maybe we'll meet someday. That'll be fun.
  17. Is it possible that the people have spoken here? Ever heard of representative government? Is it possible that people actually want to replace a few of the campsites washed away in floods? Is it possible that The Sierra Club doesn't speak for National Parks? It is possible that The Sierra Club is getting a free ride (at taxpayer expense) in YNP that it can use to spread its not-so-always-non-political message ? Hmmm. I wonder why anyone would dare have an opinion that didn't jibe with The Sierra Club.
  18. Good to hear.
  19. Anyone know how that Seattle (Cerebral Edema) guy is doing? The epilogue said he "relapsed". Hope he's OK.
  20. Dr Flash-Fuck, Your post above makes me wish MikeAdam was in town. I can't believe he was banned, and you are still free to spew your shit all over this site. You fucking moron.
  21. I have to call BS on that. There will be peace in the Middle East when Israel is wiped off the face of the map and no longer exists. The Palestinian leadership has not been interested in peace at any point in recent history and has walked away from the negotiating table more than once. It's sorta of a chicken and the egg thing, but the Israeli's have a whole bunch of Arabic/Islamic neighbors who don't care for them much, they pretty much have to kick ass and ask questions later or they wouldn't survive. AS soon as the US stops supporting Isreal unconditionally, there will be peace. Catbird, That's the most naive statement I've heard in months. Upon what do you base this simplistic idea?
  22. How about Democratic senator Zel Miller saying he'll support President Bush in the next election because [/i]none[/i] of the current Democratic presidential hopefuls embrace American values? Fairweather, please tell us what are American values. Inquiring minds want to know. You'd have to ask Senator Miller that question, but when I watched him on Meet The Press today he alluded to the return of McGovern ideals within the party, and the fact that they don't hold any sway with the majority of today's voters. Especially southern ones.
  23. Greg W, I think the entire racial superiority argument is divisive, if not outright dangerous. Are there indeed differences between races, intellectual and physical? Sure. But on the whole they balance out. With the fact that the USA is an amalgam of almost every race on earth, one could make the argument that racial diversity is what makes a nation great and, yes, powerful. West European, and even more so, Scandanavian arrogance is nothing new. Ditto Japanese and Korean. Ditto almost every race on Earth. I believe everyone is a racist. (Especially liberals!) It is measured in degrees, and it is our duty to suppress this natural impulse.
  24. How about Democratic senator Zel Miller saying he'll support President Bush in the next election because [/i]none[/i] of the current Democratic presidential hopefuls embrace American values? I had free tuition throughout college because of Zell Miller [combined with good grades]... he kicks ass! So do you agree with his stand?
