  5. everything of value has a value.
  6. i'm looking for suggestions for good "local" climbs -- similar in quality to (or better than) "off duty" at l-worth. about the same difficulty and higher. tia ...

  9. seriously, though, it's hard to decide what the dating categories should be ... "hard-spankin' sport climber seeks trad climber who likes being schooled and knows not only how to place gear but use it" hmmm ...
  10. desperate for reliable climbing partners who can crank; not for dates - thank you.
  11. in somebody's dreams!!!
  12. mattp, i heard you were there; just out on one of those aforementioned "breaks" ...
  13. geez, trask. not all of us choose who to date based on penis/boob size. i don't think i'd want to date ANYbody on this board!
  14. i showed up about 7 and didn't see anybody there. went to dinner next door with a friend and came back about 8 and the only person i recognized was a guy named jeff. i thought pub clubs were huge gatherings of climbers talking "shop". what gives???

  16. don't get your hope up y'all. i'll be wearing my baggy jeans and my anything-but-tight-fitting wild things wind shirt. the only thongs you'll be seeing are the ones on my feet. (and no, i don't mean after they've fallen down below my ankles!!)
  17. quote: Originally posted by trask: You know what would look hot? You, in a thong and leather chaps, spiked heels and a spaghetti strap silk top. trask, just 'cause i'm a "girl" doesn't mean *i* would look hot in that particular outfit! besides, i'd prefer to wear thigh-high leather boots than chaps.
  18. geez, dude. you know he meant what time!!!
  19. quote: Originally posted by ehmmic: the Alki Tavern is more of a biker bar than a pub, but it's pretty cool. i sometimes eat at the little thai restaurant next door. last week there were more harleys out there than i could count! if i come, do i have to wear leather chaps? because mine are at the cleaners right now, what after riding home in the rain last night!
  20. quote: Originally posted by fleblebleb: The Hilleberg Akto is a really cool tent... there is one on display in the tent/tarp yard at pro mountain sports in seattle if you want to check it out.

  22. is alki a "beer bar"?
  23. yeah; she's super nice. and not a guy; just one of "the guys".
  24. can i just say that this is so f***ed up i can hardly believe it? i never leave my wallet in the car, but the idea of someone breaking in and going through it is ... well ... icky. i had a similar thing happen to me once when i was parked at the bottom of snoqualmie falls. we didn't realize what had happened until we started looking for our sack lunches on the way home. our prized tuna fish sandwiches were gone from behind the front seat - along with the leather jackets we had put in the trunk. we felt so violated! i say keep working to get the word out to unsuspecting visitors. and thanks for letting us know!
  25. well, i'd hope your friends aren't rude to you! (it's a little different when you go in there and don't know any of the employees.) i find the guys at second ascent to be much "friendlier".
