Hey, I tried to send you guys ONE-HUNDRED-THOUSAND-DOLLARS! but the gosh darn thing won't work, yeah yeah, that's the ticket!

Do you really think this is the place for that kind of immature stuff? This is a serious climbing website and should only contain material appropriate for serious climbing discussion. Dood gay sir!

My altimeter showed 8,500' when we bailed so we may have been closer to the top than this photo I pilfered off of Stepen Ramsey's website shows with the route we took in red.

Got a canopy on my other truck and would like to sell this one. It is a 10 year old Gemtop made out of steel (pretty heavy), currently on a 1997 F-250 with the regular 8' bed. I belive the canopy will fit the older style F series also. Heavy duty and good looking with a recent black paint job. Side and front windows have sliders, rear window/door has lock and key. Roof rack for ladders or kyaks. Will include the tool box/camping bed built for the back of the truck. Pictures to follow. $495 obo. Send me a PM if you are interested, thanks.

I've used that Accelerade R4 quite a bit durring climbs and find it's best used immediatly after reaching your high camp to help with recovery for the next day. I've also had partners gag on the stuff and become nauseous after consumption so try it out while training.

It's my recolection that some of the more "conservative" sprayers have simply gone away because their feelings were hurt in some manner or they were tired of dealing with the "commies" on the website. I actually can't think of one that is banned besides you. Maybe if you get unbanned you could give us some examples. Bwahahaha!

Senior Citizens in space is a great 5.8 thin hand crack at Private Idaho. Nice 5.9 offwidth Battered Sandwich is right next to it. Also good 5.8's and .9's on that wall to the right as you hike up to the Inner walls. I think it's "Happy Puppy" and "Who put the purr in my pussy". I backed off what looked like a great 5.8 crack climb "Al's Armed Response" in the same area. It needed some major gardening (a year ago) and my belayer was being swarmed by yellowjackets so I downclimbed pretty fast. It has pretty cool positioning right on the end of an arete with a big ole crack splitting it perfectly. Index is a great place to learn crack climbing because of the bomber rock quality and good pro.

Only if you renounce your affiliation with the communist party. Actually, I probably wouldn't survive the trek in to K-2's base camp so you might see if lummox's mom will let him go.

Yes it was sarcasm you MOONBAT!
-
No. I haven't seen your climbing resume so you're not included in the consideration. AlpineK, Timmy and CrazyJZ just missed the cut by the way. Oh so close, yet so far away. I think someone's feeling a little jealous.

I don't know how many users there are currently but at last check there were around 4,000. If what you say is true, there are 200 people who post here who could handle the commitment level of Everest. I'd say it's closer to maybe 2. Lummox and Michael Layton would be the only people I've met who would be able to get there asses up and down in good style. And, since I've met almost every user on the website, I would indeed be a good judge of character. Maybe Crack (no not Cracked ), if he ever got his knee fixed up. So your percentage would be closer to 99.998. Or something like that. Let's try to keep this realistic, ok?

Does anyone else use old rope sheath for rap anchors? I retired my old craggin rope recently and think this might be an ok thing to do. Any idea what rope sheath might be rated to? Probably not as good as webbing but it seems like tubular webbing is usually stronger than the anchor anyway. Any opinions on this? I remember reading about using the sheath for rapping in some book a few years ago. I think it was "Extreme Scramblism" or something. And yes, I know webbing is cheap.

NEVER BAIL...SUMMIT OR PLUMMET!!!

The altitude of 12,300' puts them just at or slightly above the "Black Pyramid". If they're on top of the pyramid, it's a relativly protected bivy site. Still not a happy place to be tied down though. Sounds like they are doing a great job of keeping it together in tough conditions.

nevermind, I guess I'm not following along closely enough. Martlet is an ass.
