the weather does seem to be getting into a good patern. rain at the start of the week and stoping mid week, then some warm days near the end. this does allow the snow to settle somewhat. i am just hoping that the conditions will allow an attempt. Aidan

i am embarred by you guys.......HOW COULD ANYONE LEAVE OUT LED! i highly recommend after you have finished a kick ass climb to listen to misty mountain or rock and roll. those are great. and on the way to the climb listen to RAmble on with the volume up. nothing gets you in the mood to climb like led zep. i also enjoy rap but i know all you old farts hate the stuff so i will never bother you about listening to it sabbath, cream, the doors, beattle, blink 182, nirvana, tupac, dr. dre, snoop, ice cube,none of that p*&%y shit rap only hard stuff ummmmmmm basicly anything that isn't counrty or disco Aidan

Mike, i went to one of your talks at the Tacoma history museum last year. you probably dont remeber. you wrote "see you on the hill" in your book i had you sign. the pictures you showed where really amazing. and i do remeber saying to my self how cool the Tahoma Glaicer look. just wanted to say your talk was really great and inspiring (i know its alittle late ) thank you Aidan

Well when i was 12 i climbed Mount Adams and of course i was in miserable shape but on summit day when i had nothing on my back but a camal back i was flying up. i felt great at 12k. But i do know that the last 1K of rainier is the hardest. i have heard the stories. from 13K to 14K you will want to turn around and yell four letter words. i just cant wait!!! Aidan

You talk abou how i would want to change routes if it becomes icy.....what are you talking about. ICE IS THE BEST. and plus it reduces avalanche(sp). but about the exposure dont worry i would be fine with it. but thank you for the info. Kautz 9! Emmons 6!
