    Prusik Peak

    Isn't it a Boving route?
  8. Mama had a skull baby, and it screeeeeeeemed all night long, You'd scream too if all you had was a skull. Can I take you home, can I shine it up. Can I take it for a ride on the bus. Yeah skull baby, Mama's skull baby Yeah skull baby, Mama's skull baby
  9. I used Vegiebelay's shortcut today to climb Huckleberry Mountain. I think it took me about 1:15 to get to the Katwalk from the truck. I don't know if it really cuts much time off at all (compared to commonwealth basin trail method) considering it probably takes 15-30 minutes more driving to get there. Maybe if I knew the Kendall Lakes area better? 'Schwacking through clearcut is crumby.
  10. quote: Originally posted by vegetablebelay: There is a very easy cross country trip to the PCT from the middle Kendall Peak Lake that saves 4 miles or so and a couple thousand feet of gain. Not for Lundin . So is the parking "well-established"; i.e., is it posted and patrolled for parking passes?
  11. quote: Originally posted by thelawgoddess: the uw climbing club will be there at 4:30... How do they compare to the mounties? Are they going to be reserving stuff out there?
  12. quote: Originally posted by Idea Guy: Crimson Chrysalis fits your request perfectly. Did he indicate that he wants to meet many new climbing friends?
  13. OK, it's time I bring this'un up again. I'll give some notice this time though. It's beautiful day out today. You should use this opportunity to get ready for your moonlight ascent of Canary. I will be heading out The Rock around 4:30. I'll be wearing a non-descript UW intramural champion t-shirt if you wanna delurk. Oh, and bring me a beer. It's my birthday today! 15. I've never gotten a trailpark pass ticket in the horse lot either. I think you don't need a Northwest Forest Pass if you're on a horse.
  16. It's the Commonwealth Basin trail. Not only shorter, but it's more scenic than the PCT. You can get to it via the regular parking lot too. When you start the trail very soon (less than 50 feet) there's an old roadbed heading North (take a left). Go that way.
