    #5 Camalot

What about that optional offwidth on Angel's Crest? Anybody (fern? Dru?) know if a #5 will suffice there?

    #5 Camalot

As I recall, that one is "Dr. Doom" or something like that and maybe it's only 5.9 or something. Perhaps there's a 5.11 approach pitch that can be avoided? Yeah TimL, the #5 made my life stress free on the Backbone Ridge MC 90-foot offwidth, but plenty of other sprayers here may disagree that it is "necessary". I believe Erik told me not to bother bringing the #4!
  4. Muffy, I think "fawning" would be a better description. Braumeister, Yes. Sure you can, with only one catch, could you give Dave_Schuldt a ride?
  5. I'm not sure I like the sounds of that. Shit Greg! I didn't know your violent impulses extended to guys too!!! Fag. Heard you took a rap from Cavey at Pub Club, that is all. Get over yourself. F*&%&n' Caveman (and I mean that figuratively not literally)

  7. Hmmm... I wonder if that would be in all newspapers on the web, and maybe all over the radio, if we went/go to code red? Hmmmm....I wonder....
  8. THANKS FOR THE OFFER, BUT IF O HEADED THAT DIRO...RIGHT PAST YOUR HOUSE STRAIGH THE GRANITE!!!! Perhaps Greg could haul the ol' Weber out to the LTW parking lot?

  11. Erik, you are a cheeseburger
  12. I was there Sunday with another CC.commie. It was pretty f'n crowded. Well, crowded enough that it was difficult to get on any desireable 5.8 or under. Unfortunately the early season form was not able to accomodate climbing harder stuff all day. ETA: Oh yeah, I climbed Steel Grill, the pigeonhole climb. Didn't dissappoint in terms of pigeon excrement. Anybody have any positive experiences weaseling down the cost of the Vantage parking ticket?

    Building a Rack

Göran fell on a Camalot. So right now we're tied at 1-1. death at the coulee
  14. Good points Bronco. Note, though, that babies are cool.
  15. MORE CLIMBING TALK DAMNIT!!! That means no more posts about pigeonholes on this thread unless it's about a climb at Vantage like Steel Grill where you gotta stick your hand in a hole and there's a bunch of ravenous pigeons in there that might bite your finger off!!! Any violations and I'll delete your post. FINAL WARNING!!!!!
  16. Bronco, dude, you'd sound a lot cooler and not technically be lying if you refered to it as the Canary ledge.
  17. "nice retort" Nice retort Iain. You sound like one those guys who says "nice something" whenever somebody does something.
  18. Dude don't get all pantywaist on me. You totally set yourself up for that one. I mean, it was so easy I thought you sorta wanted someone to chomp on that!! And Iain, "maybe you shouldn't pigeonhole people at all"!!?? gag me!!!
  19. Bronco, Gear sling placement is usually dictated by the climb. You should be able to hold on and place gear with either hand. In a similar vein, I like to keep my draws on the gear loops in the back of my harness, that way I can reach 'em with either hand. Except, if I'm climbing a chimbly, then it's nothing on the back loops.
  20. How about, people of the thinking persuasion, or non-idiots, or perhaps even smartasses?
  21. Ummm....you're the one who brought up the survey.
  22. Old Gray Mare, Castle Rock. Sweet. It's steep but still only 5.8. It's like one of those steep 5.8 aretes at Vantage but cooler, because 1) you don't have to pay to park, 2) the holds are solid chickenheads and granite folds, not wiggly thin sharp tiny pieces of rock that you hope have been glued in, 3) it's not way overbolted, 4) if you feel like it, you can continue up another pitch (right above it!).
