Jason4 Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 (edited) Good report, will read again. I kid, I had some problems with posting a trip report a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't ever get it to work as a TR but I was able to create a new topic as a regular topic. I probably could have copied my TR complete with gear and approach notes from Word or Notepad but I posted it on TAY instead. That said, please figure it out, I'm really interested to hear about the approach and what condition the snow was in on the Coleman. Edited April 12, 2016 by Jason4 Quote
matiasfrancis Posted April 12, 2016 Author Posted April 12, 2016 I apologize. Currently trying to figure out how to post it. My bad. Quote
Jason4 Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 You already got further along than I did, I was never even able to get a post to show up as a reply to the TR that I posted. You might just copy the text in as a reply. Quote
matiasfrancis Posted April 12, 2016 Author Posted April 12, 2016 Still no luck. Hoepfully servers will recuperate. Quote
anikoy Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Still no luck. Hoepfully servers will recuperate. Do you have any blog where we could read your TR? Quote
matiasfrancis Posted April 13, 2016 Author Posted April 13, 2016 No blog. Wrote it on a google drive as the first time I wrote it in CC it got deleted. Will continue trying to post. Cheers Quote
Jason4 Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Can you give us the clifs notes in a reply? Maybe just a couple of answers? What route did you use for the approach? Was the road still closed near the highway? How was the snow? How broken up is the Coleman glacier? Did you have any exceptionally awesome or sketchy moments up there? Quote
lukeh Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 If you wrote it on Google Drive you can make that link/doc public, then just post the link here. Just open the doc choose Share, and click "get share-able link". It'll only share that one doc so no need to worry about other content being shared. Jon (cc admin) is aware of the issue and was on vacation in Europe, but was going to look at this when he returned. Quote

bigeo Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Nice guys! I'm pretty sure the 8 miles of road would have shut me down. Quote
Jason4 Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Thanks for following through and sharing your TR. I wish I was climbing stuff like that in high school. I wish I was climbing stuff like that now too. Way to get after it! Quote
OlympicMtnBoy Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Cool, way to get after it! Thanks for posting up and dealing with the site difficulties! Quote
