Jens Posted January 21, 2003 Share Posted January 21, 2003 Five.ten has a new rubber out called stealth high friction or (HF). Anybody use it or hear about how it climbs? I emailed five.ten several months ago before my last resole but never got a reply. Also, anybody care to comment: The older Stealth 2 seemed stickier than C4, but didn't edge nearly as well. cracked Posted January 21, 2003 Share Posted January 21, 2003 Jens, I haven't personally used the HF rubber (it's only available on the Dragon and whatever the new yellow slipper is called), but supposedly it is softer than C4, so it smears better, but doesn't edge as well. Maybe I'm missing something here, but I thought you want lubrication, not high friction in a rubber. Obviously, some friction is needed, but too much could uncomfortable.
