icegirl Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 used, reasonable shape, not picky, bindings too please... for a shrimpy, whimpy, sometimes whiny, 5'6", intermediate skiier who has not been to the slopes for a couple years, nothing long or too stiff please due to past knee injuries.. Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 dont buy tele unless you are set on it for some reason. Quote
icegirl Posted January 15, 2003 Author Posted January 15, 2003 I used to tele a lot as a youth... Orthopedist tells me it will be better for my specific knee injury. Quote
snoboy Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 Wow! Someone who actually has a real reason to tele! Cool! I've got a set of Voile release plates, if you are interested PM me. Quote
icegirl Posted January 15, 2003 Author Posted January 15, 2003 yeah, not JUST to show how lame I can be on the slopes also tele would be a bit better considering their alternate use will be transport in to willow creek for some ice... (to far for snowshoes) Quote
snoboy Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 also tele would be a bit better considering their alternate use will be transport in to willow creek for some ice... Wouldn't AT be better here, too put yer ice boots in and shuffle... Quote
HowlinWolf Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 Some of my used and new tele gear may be of interest to you. I have a bad ski habit, bought 2 new pairs this year. Sort of a mistake. The old has to go. •TUA Savage 182cm, Brand New! Just mounted BD PitBull bindings. Work done by Marmot. $250 OBO •K2 Piste Off 180cm, used. G3 bindings, with shims. $250 OBO. call or email dougcc@climb-high.com 206.729.7196 Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 my opinion why tele ski when you can ride in style and technology? Either way the benies of my boots over tele boots is that I can ice climb in them. Don't carry extra set. Quote
chelle Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 I have a great pair of K2 shaped skis that currently have downhill bindings. And I have two pairs of downhill boots that you can check out. We already know we have the same shoe size. I'd give you a good deal. Send me a pm. I think I skied in them about 1/2 dozen times before I switched to snowbaording and never looked back. Quote
rbw1966 Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 Either way the benies of my boots over tele boots is that I can ice climb in them. I ice climb in my T2's almost as often as my invernos. I haven't noticed a tremendous difference between the two. Then again, I am not Tomas Humar. Quote
ryland_moore Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 Hu, hu,.. hu, hu, hu,...hey Beavis, she said nothing long or too stiff......hu, hu, hu, hu... Quote
icegirl Posted January 17, 2003 Author Posted January 17, 2003 I'd love to check them out! I have a nice pair of lange boots, but always looking to upgrade... how long are the skis? Quote
David_Parker Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 Michelle, hate to say it, but it seems snowboarders are always looking back......and sideways.....and upsidedown! The only looking back tele skiers do is at the snowboarders postholing on traverses! Yuk-Yuk Quote
