Bill_Simpkins Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 I have to vent. I don't watch the tube much, but from what I get is: CNN is CRAP. Bias, AOL commercials everywhere(because they are owned by aol/time warner), and they mostly only give good reviews to Time Warner films. There is little if any edjucational value. Crossfire is OK. That's about it. CNN is Crap. Anyone else agree? Any good news on "normal"cable that anyone knows of? Quote
RobBob Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 Crossfire is crap. Fifteen+ years ago it was okay, when it was sparring between two old journalists who would give each other an honest pummelling. Now what you have is that Clinton wank operator versus some prep-school-looking pussboy with a bowtie, in front of a dumb audience. Stupid show. I create my own crossfire by listening to NPR and then reading the Wall Street Journal. Quote
allthumbs Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 Fox News/Sports is the most unbiased these days. Quote
Off_White Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 c'mon Trask, you know all news is biased, Fox just most closely aligns with your own take on the world. Quote
Greg_W Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 Not necessarily, Off. I heard a rundown yesterday and most of the personalities on FoxNEWS are not conservatives. Quote
Greg_W Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 Okay, nothing yet. On topic, Greta VanSustern is a liberal, Combs of Hanady & Combs is a flaming liberal, and there are others. Quote
allthumbs Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 I like O'Reilly and Hanaday. Fox is the most balanced of the news shows. Find me one more conservative and I'll watch it. Quote
RobBob Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 I liked O'Reilly until yesterday...when I found out that the website article he casually referred his audience to was PAY. Is it Hannaday or Colmes who has that awful rug. I mean, that guy looks like he's in disquise! Quote
allthumbs Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 What are you talking about with O'Reilly? What's PAY? Quote
RobBob Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 check out billoreilly.com. It's a pay site. I feel certain that you'd only pay for porn, trask. So it's Colmes, eh. I can't even listen to what he's saying, he looks like such a make-up freak. Don't trust anyone who has to disquise themselves that much. Quote
allthumbs Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 Well shit, Rush's site is pay too. So what? I only pay for hookers and drugs. Quote
