genepires Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 heard something in the grapevine about the ski patrollers no longer allowing the walk around to get to the top to set up a TR. Sack up for the lead! not that the walk around did not require some sacking up also. Quote

The drop in freezing level should make it at least solid and frozen. Though I don't know how good it might still be structurally. I opted for solo night skiing on Herman vice solo night ice climbing on Pan Dome. Quote

quikclimber Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 I climbed it on Friday the 7th...great ice! Seemed pretty brittle, except for the areas with forming ice(thermometer said 10 degrees). I stopped in at the Patrol shack to verify the access. They made it clear that they don't want anyone walking around to the top. Lead only. Quote
