MrGecko Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Bridal Veil east and west have nothing worth noting, still too warm in there. Some stuff under the Angel's Crest area looked like it was coming in but I didn't have any binocs to see closer. Mist Falls was thin and mushy but we did a run on it. Didn't know of any top anchors so down climb and back clean was the name of the game. Did see that the WA side around Cape Horn was showing signs of goodness but got no closer than Oregon shores so YMMV. Play safe! Quote
MrGecko Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Does anyone know if there are anchors in the rock at the upper wall? Quote
marcus Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 "Starvin' Marvin" at Starvation Creek, photo taken yesterday(Bill A). This is a 45m WI4- flow that forms regularly on the cliffs west of Starvation Creek. Belay off tree above, mostly 13cm & 10cm screws plus a bonus shrub to sling off. Quote
powderhound Posted February 3, 2014 Author Posted February 3, 2014 Temps are looking low, and wind is looking strong, maybe some ice by end of week with the low temps and 50mph winds that are called for all week! Quote
ivan Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 doesn't look like a big window - freezing rain sunday then 40s n' rain monday - might be good enough to at least tr the flow below 14 on cape horn Quote
stevetimetravlr Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 It is 18 degrees outside right now in Hood River, White Salmon area, and the wind is howling easterly. I think under these conditions the ice will set up much faster then normal! Its supposed to get down to 10 degrees tonight, and not get above 20 degrees tomorrow. Friday might be the day! Anyone seem how the ice is forming at Starvation or Crown Point? Quote
