Government shutdown and access to Rainier

I assume the main entrances to the park will be closed during the government shutdown. I'm hoping to climb Observation Rock this weekend. Does anyone know if the Mowich Lake Road will be gated too?

As long as the government is shut down, it will be closed, guaranteed.

It's gated in winter; easy enough to lock and gate now until the government shutdown is over. The road can be biked.

sorry Officer, when I got there the gate was open! I didn't know!

The road is gated at Paul Peak, it adds about 5.5 miles each way to the approach. I've biked the road for early season ascents of Ptarmigan Ridge, it goes pretty quickly. In winter there is a ski trail, marked in the trees, which cuts off some distance.
