Looking to chat with a hand surgeon and/or hand and wrist expert who is preferably also a rock climber. Anyone ever had scapholunate ligament surgery and still climb?

Not really looking for medical advice, just straight talk on possible outcomes from scapholunate repair surgery.

I saw this hand specialist at Virginia Mason in Seattle one time when I had an A3 pulley issue. I can't remember if she climbed but her kids did and she was knowledgeable about climbing as it related to medical stuff.

William Clark, MD. Practices out of Highline Medical Center in fabulous Burien, WA. I saw him last summer to have my shoulder assessed after a BMW cut me off whilst riding downhill at 20+ mph on my road bike. Ouch.

Anyway, there I am sitting in the consult room, and danged if there isn't a large framed B&W print looking down the E Ridge of Forbidden right around the gendarme pitch. Conversation ensued, and yes, he is, or at least was a climber. Nice enough guy too, and a hand specialist. Check him out.

Dr. David Black at Longview Orthopedic is a climber and did a fellowship in hand surgery as well. Bit of a haul from Seattle but not bad if you're in Portland.
