Crillz Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 (edited) Looking to chat with a hand surgeon and/or hand and wrist expert who is preferably also a rock climber. Anyone ever had scapholunate ligament surgery and still climb? Not really looking for medical advice, just straight talk on possible outcomes from scapholunate repair surgery. jared_j Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 I saw this hand specialist at Virginia Mason in Seattle one time when I had an A3 pulley issue. I can't remember if she climbed but her kids did and she was knowledgeable about climbing as it related to medical stuff. Quote
Phil K Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 William Clark, MD. Practices out of Highline Medical Center in fabulous Burien, WA. I saw him last summer to have my shoulder assessed after a BMW cut me off whilst riding downhill at 20+ mph on my road bike. Ouch. Anyway, there I am sitting in the consult room, and danged if there isn't a large framed B&W print looking down the E Ridge of Forbidden right around the gendarme pitch. Conversation ensued, and yes, he is, or at least was a climber. Nice enough guy too, and a hand specialist. Check him out. Quote
ColinB Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Dr. David Black at Longview Orthopedic is a climber and did a fellowship in hand surgery as well. Bit of a haul from Seattle but not bad if you're in Portland. Quote
