Spartan Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Does anyone have any beta on the current condition of the Emmons route? Quote
mtndfndr Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Here's a recent TR from TAY. http://www.turns-all-year.com/skiing_snowboarding/trip_reports/index.php?topic=28836.0 Quote
Smoots Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 That TR is for the Easton route on Baker, not the Emmons on Rainier that was being asked for... The climbing rangers post condition status fairly regularly here: http://mountrainierconditions.blogspot.com/ Quote
mtndfndr Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Apologies... need to work on my multitasking. Quote
hefeweizen Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Here is the direct link to the Emmons route conditions from the climbing ranger blog. Quote
YocumRidge Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 On Sun 06/30: we traversed over Winthrop and descended Emmons on our way down from the Lib Ridge and found perfect windblown styroform to 12500' and then perfect crotch-deep posthole all way to Shurman. I bet it would have been firmer in the early AM but so much for the carryover routes. Quote
WaterproofMonk Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Here's the view from near Sunrise on the 1st of July. The current bootpath is pretty clearly visible. Quote
