Such a great write up, thanks! I have to admit that on my winter "ascent", due to a lot of factors, I stopped at the rim. Way to complete it in good style and ski from the tippy top. Proud.

Awesome write up! Impressive that you hauled the ski's and a big camera up too. I did that decades ago in January...I still remember the terror of downclimbing Gib chute. One of our guys fell there, we barely stopped him. Well done.

Also, I would be interested to learn how Victor has his SLR rigged to his pack. I have worked out an OK system, but I am always looking to improve upon it.

Have you ever tried using a BlackRapid camera strap? I use one all the time and find it the best solution. Has stoppers so you can position it back and around your side out of the way when not in use, then you unlock the stoppers when you want to slide it forward. Always stays on the strap and secured. (not a spokesmen)

hey i was the first person ask how your trip was that weekend in january! ha glad to see you made it up and back safely, me and the climbers were worried cause it was getting late but you came out of it good job!!
