bryanhendrick Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Hola companeros! I am new to Leavenworth, and looking to explore the area. Whether you are living in Leavenworth or another town, I'd love to chat and meet folks in the NW climbing community and see what could work out! Blake Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Hey Bryan, Your best bet to meet a bunch of climbery types in Leavenworth is to come to the Leavenworth Mountain Association Event on Wednesday the 14th at Ski Hill Lodge. Bring some good food to share and you'll have all the friends and climbing partners you can imagine. Quote
matt_warfield Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 (edited) Also, on a bad weather day, check this site's TRs as lots of people from all over the NW have enjoyed the boulders, crags, and alpine destinations near Leavenworth and reported on this site. And new residents need to do at least one route in Lederhosen to fit in. Edited November 11, 2012 by matt_warfield Quote
bryanhendrick Posted November 12, 2012 Author Posted November 12, 2012 Thanks for the heads up Blake! I'll be sure to make it. Matt I will try my best to get in a day of climbing around here wearing lederhosen. I think it could be a good look, especially on a no-star tuesday... kurthicks Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 No-star (and one-star) Tuesdays are a great idea in L-town since a lot of the great routes are under-appreciated in the guidebook... Quote
