glassgowkiss Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Netflix has a film about Hubers on Elcap- a great story. Tad too long for my liking, but some great cinematography and good story nevertheless. Quote
Tyson.g Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 I would second that,it is a little long but definitely worth the watch. If you get bored it is always fun to poke fun at the Huberbrau anyway. Quote
DPS Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 (edited) I saw this as well. It was eye opening as to the work and preparation that goes into making a new speed record. I had assumed that climbers just walked up to the base and fired the Nose. Serious preparation, committment, and risk, goes into making a new speed record. Edited June 4, 2012 by DPS Quote
glassgowkiss Posted June 4, 2012 Author Posted June 4, 2012 Way better then this movie: Steve's narration nearly made me vomit. It's funny how he is a pretty good guy when you meet him in person, but he portraits himself in the media so poorly. Quote
