corvallisclimb Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 Haha, wow! How did you find that killer web site? I'm surprised it hasn't been more hyped up by the man himself... Looks like he made that $1000 off Tim Olson, that or got a real fucking job. :lmao: :lmao: Shapp, I think its time we take a road trip there, looks like this is all we'll need right: Quote
KirkW Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Nice rack Tyler. I'll drive if you agree to let me sink one of those snargs. Looks like Mr. Waters has been a busy boy. I wonder if he's still working on a "Top ten classic 5.5X routes of Mary's Peak" guide? Last I heard there is gonna be a HUGE "Druid Boulders" section. Honnold keeps bugging him I hear. I can understand why it's taking him a while. So many good ones to choose from up there. Shapp, you should check that place out. Well worth the drive. Quote
shapp Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 (edited) I would go check out Marys but I didn't learn how to climb road cuts in the gym yet, and we are going to need more gay porn, Captain Frick can you assist? I can however provide a Darrington Big Moss Raper for the boulders! I would however, give up to an OZ of the good stuff for the guide however, if that is still the going rate? billcoe Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Looks like a good job on the info presentations. Thanks for sharing it Paul. This looks interesting: in preparation of this summer's release of Moolack: A Rock-Climbing Guide to in Tim Olson's 5th edition of Portland Rock Climbs, As the 4th edition just came out, this has to be the companion version with all these rumored new climbing areas scattered all around in them. Looks like it's time as any day now given that it's April, it will be summer:-) Quote
corvallisclimb Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 I would however, give up to an OZ of the good stuff for the guide however, if that is still the going rate? I think its only worth a 1/4, not worth that much dude!!! So speaking of which where is mine, since I gave you my copy and all... baa Quote
JoeR Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Should take Mr. Tim Olsen a few years to do the editing work that PDubs Moolack guide requires before it is ready for publishing. Quote
shapp Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 So speaking of which where is mine, since I gave you my copy and all... baa Well, I ate this bran muffin before I realized we were out of TP, and making a mad rush for the throne, in advertantly grabbed the moolack report........ Quote
corvallisclimb Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 (edited) I finally went and climbed at Moolack with MTep. The place is really very cool, but the routes get kinda dirty. A short 5 minute uphill stroll brings one to the base. The rock is super solid and the cracks protect really well. Surely different the most of the cascade crags in Oregon. Mainly I'm posting this in hopes it will encourage others to go and check the place out and climb and keep the routes nice and clean. With a little more traffic this place would be a gem. If you like crack climbing then make this place a must visit! Edited May 22, 2012 by corvallisclimb Quote
shapp Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Defenitely a great crack climbing area. The tounge and cheek poop jokes were directed at the draft guide book "report", not the actual crag which is pretty rad. Quote
