I heard that was how you lost your virginity...

had a guy on my jobsite swear he had extensive experience with nail guns (he even acted insulted when questioned). Pop. Pop. Pop-AHHHHHHHHH!!!!

He nailed his thumb to the ridge board, right through the knuckle. As we were alone on the job, I had to wait unitl he settled down to pull the nail out with the claw of my framing hammer, good times! I briefly considered attempting to knock him out with a 2x4, but, decided he could fall to the floor once his thumb was freed. Nice scar from all of his flailing around.

That guy needed medical attention approximatly once per week. Another time, he stood in ankle deep water attempting to plug in 2 wet extension cords. 3 times in a row. [Confused]

yeah right, we all know you were trying to hide your track marks junkie. I got some scars, I have been pretty lucky for having skated from age ? to 16 or so. Only climbing scar is a small triangle on my lower back aquired on the approach to grotto falls. Feet slipped out from underneath (frozen streambed) and I landed flat on my back. The Specter - that was one my rack punched through the back of the pack and into my back.

Age 4:

Instrument: bad-ass hotwheels trike.

Rolling down the driveway with the plastic wheels, I spun out, landed flat on my back and scraped most of the skin off. One of my earliest memories!

Age 20: Snowboard

icy day at Squaw Valley. first time ever on a snowboard. the ice was about a foot thick and actually transparent down to the ground surface in places. nasty, nasty conditions. Second run of my life, my buddy says to go to a harder slope. A glutton for punishment, I agree. I start to traverse a slope, go down hands first and hear a popping sound. it hurts like hell. I keep boarding all day. 10 days later when the big bruise in the palm of my hand hadn't gone away and it still really hurt to put on surgical gloves in the lab, I go to the doctor for x-rays. Compound fracture. right ring finger is now 1/8" shorter than the other.

age 4 (again): getting out of shower stall, slip on soap and plant chin squarely on the metal threshold for the shower door. 1" scar.

Age 27: 2.5 hour oral exam from world experts. No scars, just trauma.

damn, now I want a [big Drink][big Drink][big Drink][big Drink][big Drink][big Grin][Mad][big Grin]
