billcoe Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 I don't have sound at work. I did see the bell Helicopter comment. All I have to add is that fortunately, Mexico has great gun control laws. They successfully got all the guns out of the hands of honest people, who are now preyed on by both the out of control Police and the drug cartels. They say 150,000 citizens marched in Mexico City, protesting all the kidnappings which they mostly blame on Police Officers. Quote

Bill lived down there, he'd go toe to toe with the cartels, no problem. Hell, he might even just post pics of his gun collection and watch those pussies melt into the shadows. Quote
j_b Posted September 24, 2010 Author Posted September 24, 2010 Anybody else read that mind-boggling article about Mexican cartels in the New Yorker sometimes in May? It discusses how special forces started some of the bloodiest cartels, why the drug war amplified after the PRI was kicked out of power, and the increasing direct involvement of US police in Mexico. here is a link to an abstract for the article: http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2010/05/31/100531fa_fact_finnegan Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Clearly, the problem is not enough guns. Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Just back from Alberta, where handguns are illegal and 'long guns' require a license. My God, the oppression there.... Quote
