The Cave at 38. Dry?

Anyone know if the cave off the Mt. Washington trail at 38 stays dry when it's raining? I know the chains are outside of the roof but there have been fixed draws so you can lower wherever. Would be nice to get out... or in.

If you are talking about the "actual" cave?, then it probably is seeping if it has been raining for a couple days.

Nevermind was all dry yesterday, I left around 6pm. Not a drop of seepage yet. But it was raining hard last night, so?

Ha! Ya dude, the cave is definetly wet. need a good 4-5 days of no rain and warmer temps for it to stop seeping.

 

Nevermind: after hard rain the wall gets wet. fo sho.

Echoing comments above: Many X38 crags suffer from seepage issues, so they will be wet after it rains even if their overhanging nature keeps them dry during the rain.

Exit 32 probably has a few dry route

Also the "no-name" crag near index is a good rainy day spot. Overhanging wall with routes from 10 - 12.something. Look it up on RCNW.net called "no name"

Nevermind Wall at 38x is good after a rain. Most of it stays dry.
