Any ideas for this weekend... I want to get out this saturday and I'm trying to think of any fun climbs this weather of year. Anything incorporating some bits of WI2-3+ or mixed or some kind of sketchy scramble, steep snow gully, snow/ice face. Open to suggestions. The problem is the warm temps, I'd rather not be climbing in the rain, snow okay. Within 2.5 hrs of Seattle would be ideal.

Thanks for the help,

Andrew

honestly, standards aren't that high, I just like getting out. Heard there was ice around last weekend... weather hasn't been that much different

sorry, not tryig to be rude, just rueful - pdx-area right now aiding climbing in the murk at smiff after driving through shit to get there seems about as much as a cynical brother can hope for - you can always muck around on hood in the soup, maybe even get above the parking lot!

While not gnar gnar, you could run up pilchuck. road is open all the way to the TH. You could get off the trail and do a little mixed gnar for the final the couple hundred feet of vertical though. There is a TR here from Hanna (hanman) doing that in december.

Google Earth.

Great quick destinations to "climb" all over the world... Fingers can kinda get cramped after the 4th pitch(hour) though. Lots of placement for pro.
