New Petzl Quark Ero!

Dane

Recommended Posts

Dave actually turned me on the photo of Ueli Steck from last week.. Thanks Dave! Then I did a little snooping around with a few buddies and got this :) Remember you saw it first on Alpineexposures.com OR show in SLC next week should be fun.

"new Quark Ergos... ridiculously aggressive though"

I'm way stoked to see them in person and get them out!

My guess is that is simply the current Nomic pictured with some extra tape wrapped on the grip. But I could be wrong :)

Three new tools to be unveiled on Thursday at the OR show. Nomic, Quark and Ergo is the word so far....but no one is fessing up on details or pictures.

No question what Ueli is on in Jon's picture above is a new tool.

Has petzl done orange handles on the nomic before? I can see the black being tape but not the orange.

It does look like the current nomic but if i squint at the grip enough it looks like it might have rubber on the upper shaft instead of tape and some kind of orange accents on the handle. My (wild) guess is that the nomic and quark will see minor updates (upper match and better tether attachment point on the quark) and the old style fusion looking thing (joke) in the pic of euli will be the new ergo ...

The pic of euli made it look like the shafts will still be standard instead of hydroformed like bd's new stuff.
