Seems there used to be an "upload video" button on the toolbar that had a YouTube icon, but I don't see it now. U got to create a u-tube account first then upload the video to u-tube. The video gets assigned a web address. In the reply box on cc click enter a media tag then select you-tube video. A box pops up, put in the url and click okay and blam o easy huh Quote

You can link your photos and videos togather and do special effects and add music and stuff, and it is a very simple and intuitive program to use amd teach yourself. I think it standard comes on everyones computer nowdays. Quote
billcoe Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 I'm still running Windows 2000 on a Dell Optiplex 150. The down side is that the machine is almost old enough to be the hand crank model. The upside is that I still have a 1.44 floppy drive bay....so I haven't found the movie maker, but it looks like a hell of an idea.... Denalidave, those pictures don't look like Blownout...are you sure? BTW, ask Adam about the sick 70mph winds on Mt Hood and freezing his butt off LOL! Quote

But, I'm not sure at all as I took them from the SWolf belay, but it looked like the general area. Maybe it was another nearby column? Maybe you were looking at the pic of Ivan on Swolf, this sure looks like Blownout to me... Quote

I put one together a few weeks ago but when I went to upload it online, I was told I can't use the music as I did not have copyrights. I could swap it out with YouTube music but did not find any songs I wanted. Any way around this? Quote

Use www.vimeo.com as they don't care as long as its not commercial and will not mess with your video. Nobody liked the photo of the ice ax I posted earlier of a vintage Stubai Nanga Parbat Extreme made in Austria? I bought that sucker when I was 15 with my hard earned money bussing tables. Here's another tool I bought, a Pterodactyl axe. I used it a couple time but didn't like it as it was a knuckle buster. Just dug these things out of the attic. I can't imagine what it must have been like yesterday at Beacon. 15 degrees here this morning. i was gonna put up some video of it last night, but instead mostly i just laid on my couch in a ptsd-coma dave, you get any decent pix? if i'd got any video of you doing the insane twist on your jug, rope ripping over the edge and all, you know i'd have it out for you! I took a few pics before I joined you. I also got some shots of the hard core dudes on Blownout. They did it free, from what I could tell. That route kicks my ass in the best of weather, can't imagine doing it yesterday. I took some short video too. I'll post a few pics now. I think Justin got some video of me flailing in the wind, just trying to stay near the rock. Did you guys get down before dark? I should have stayed in the cave as it was pretty chilly at home ... The Mrs was none to happy I went out, WTF. man, the southface looks really clean Quote

I saw that but my eyes are going and I thought the inscription said "Made in Korea".....really - and I didn't want to offend you - nobody had mentioned the words "Nanga Parbat" at that time and "Made in Korea" isn't anything to get cranked up over. Nanga Parbat, different story dude, shades of Messner and Herman Buhl.....I didn't know if you were posting it as a joke or to be serious...Sorry. Besides, it's not the kind of thing you'd use in gorge ice or at Beacon, and it seemed out of place in this thread. Danes thread was an insiration to me...although his quantiy and quality pretty much means that all the rest of us are running around saying "I HAVE A SMALL DICK I HAVE A SMALL DICK LOOK LOOK!" it's a small price to pay.
