ScottP Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 100+ miles... 54,200'elevation gain... 9 pages from 9 books... http://www.mattmahoney.net/barkley/ http://www.lehigh.edu/~dmd1/dave.html http://www.mattmahoney.net/barkley/09at.pdf Quote
chirp Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Gnar seems an appropriate description. Cool race, thanks for the link on that. wow Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 So, you've got to climb and descend just under 1000 feet an hour, what's the big deal?... ...for over two days straight... Yeah, 7 finishers total sounds about right. Through horrifically boring scenery, no less. Quote
Pete_H Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 I'm guessing you're not talking about my man, Charles ... Quote
G-spotter Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 With only two albums of original material, a Gnarls Barkley marathon session doesn't last too long Quote
ScottP Posted October 15, 2009 Author Posted October 15, 2009 So, you've got to climb and descend just under 1000 feet an hour, what's the big deal?... From the descriptions, it seems akin to ascending and descending Asgaard Pass 20 times in under 12 hours, 5 times in a row with nasty briars and blowdowns that must be climbed over or under. Quote
Bug Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 If its like Asgard pass you could just rapell it. Quote
ScottP Posted October 15, 2009 Author Posted October 15, 2009 Yeah, on the downed power lines that lay on one of the descents. Quote
