Where has your blue bag been? IKEA/Rainier team up

A new and creative way of reuse and recycle is being spearheaded by the Swedes over at Ikea. I was curious how the cc.com community might contribute to this competition.

are you suggesting we should put poop in the ikea blue bag? How much poop could fit in that big bag?

 

NO really, it all looks very good of Ikea to do what they are doing. In the future, not using plastic bags is something that we will be wondering why it took so long to do. It looks like Ikea has done lots of good stuff to clean up there business.

Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Bring that bad boy home, throw it in the washer, and pow you're set for another climb (or trip to IKEA!)

Take the Ikea bag to your local manure pile fill it up and then drop it off at their door. Then recycle the bag. Sorry I am not an Ikea fan. Mostly cheap furniture made from particle board that will last less than decade. Go buy some good furniture that will last for generations.

The site is asking for pics, etc of "blue bags", are they !? Mike, are you a being a trouble-maker ?

Folks, do not forget to secure the wrist leash before attempting to photograph your blue bag.

True story. Climbing partner walks (newb)into white river ranger station looking for a garbage bag to line his pack. He asks the ranger if she had any plastic bags. She pulls a blue bag out of a box behind the desk. He responds "Oh, that's not big enough". The look of horror on her face was almost as priceless as the look on his face when he realized what the blue bag was for.

Washington DC just passed a resolution to charge 5 cents per plastic bag at stores.
