AlpineK Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Pete's on a direct flight to spring training with no Internet service. Quote
mattp Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 He was briefly on line today, but he's waiting for the M's to kick butt and then we'll see him all over this board! "Sadly," we may have to wait a while (and I love Pete's usage of the word "sadly" so much so that I've adopted it in other contexts). Is Seattle the new Boston? Quote
Off_White Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 I think all that baseball talk is just smokescreen, the inside dope I heard was that he was putting up some huge mixed route in the Pickets and had revised his will to bequeath a substantial endowment to CC.com. I say we name the new wing of the Moderator party palace after him... Quote
Peter_Puget Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Feck: No spring training this year. OW: My rule of thumb is if you can't hit the climb with a rock thrown from the parking lot the climb is too far away.....the only exception is when I hike over to the dihedrals at Smith for some alpine climbing. Wayne - Griffey should bring some fans into the Safe this year! Mattp - Sadly this most likely won't be a ass kicking year for the M's, but I still hold out hope. Right now I am listening to 1995: A Season to Remember That was a very good year. Quote
olyclimber Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 I have the 2001 season DVD for you to borrow when you're done with that, provided you return it without any DNA samples on it. Quote
olyclimber Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 and what about this josh fields kid. think we'll see him this year outside of tacoma? Quote
Peter_Puget Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 I'll use my special gloves. By the way Baseball memories never leave you. I can't tell you how many times I've remembered Little Joey Cora's tears of joy and smiled. Quote

I know that Petey, I was just trying to puff up your rep for you! Do you think you could hit the Dihedrals with a wrist rocket? Would that count? Quote

Would that count? Alpine climbing => Annie Green Springs Rock Climbing => fine aged single malt Diherals are alpine for sure....heck late in spring you have to get up early to avoid the torrid afternoon conditions...thank goodness you can drive to Bend and catch a matinee and enjoy an Orange Julius.
